Looking for recommendations for a water only type of living soil. Don’t wanna mix my own this time around. Sohum and red bud soil seem promising

So hum is inconsistent and red bud is hydrophobic as hell. I'd do build a soil artisan 3.0 or kind maybe Detroit water only if you can get it. But they all need teas even the two you listed.

You still have to feed living soil, why pay for it.The stuff you feed it is how you make it.

Yea I’ve heard a few people say it’s inconsistent which is disappointing. I had a bad experience with build a soil & spider mites.

Good luck with that.Sure a small plant but then at the end its out of gas and not ready for the next grow.Feed the dirt!
I’ve been doing it for a few years now using fox farm ocean forest and straight tap water. Plants usually end up around 3-4 feet tall which is just fine for my space. Just getting tired of getting bugs in every bag of FFOF

I’ve never had bugs due to soil solely. Perhaps your area or your practices? do you change clothes or spray down the alcohol before messing with the plants. What does the grow area look like? Also judging by your bud it could have gone longer.

Na it’s 100% the soil I check every soil bag I buy thoroughly. I’m talking dumping it out and really searching through it. In my build a soil brand new fresh bag I saw tons of spider mites. In my fox farm bags I either get fungus gnats or hypoaspis miles nearly every time. I can assure you my plant finished to my liking with about 10% amber trichomes

I fine the BAS thing hard to believe. What makes you think it came with spider mites? I'd need pics to believe that one, unless you bought it from someone else.

My basement is full of BAS products. None came with spider mites.

That’s kind of where I’m at. They’re good about handling their soil. I have a pallet of 3.0 artisan blend right now ready to use for a project and I’ve found zero bugs.

I tend to add Neem Meal with pretty much ANY bagged . I have seen sketchy pallets from time to time. Big box tend to be the worst offenders.
