Best Place to Move to Grow, CA, OR, or NV

Hi,
Ive fallen back from RUI a bit, used to be on this forum tons, years ago when I was first getting in. Ive been in Montana for quite some time. I would say I have a solid 5yr under my belt indoor. Im looking to move , as while the law is been injuncted with a referendum, since July of 2011, the law has gone to shit up here.

Places im looking at, (im originally from sf), so I prefer the Northbay CA, Ive been thinking Lake County or Mendo, like Ukiah. If I could afford more id be in Napa/sonoma/or santa rosa. Lake county appeals because of real estate price, but Im seeing they are currently struggling with a similar bull shit city council ban of outdoor, and limit indoor to like 100sq feet. The ban, is causing a referedum, and this is all just drama. Im also considering the Reno/sparks area, as new store fronts are going in soon, and the market there may be less saturated, and they may be less in tune with riding growers nuts. I would also consider oregon, or wa but don't know much about the areas, as to why I have focused on the Northbay Ca, and reno as I know more of the areas.
Im looking to have a nice indoor setup,(garage shop space, with 8k flower, and maybe 2k in veg. ), and small outdoor like 12 spaced in 5x5's . Im sick of the cold weather and short season MT has to offer, and the step backwards we took 3 years ago. looking to return home, but as its such a big move, I want to make sure I pick the right area.

thanks for any guidance, looking for mature people to respond that know the area.

Yo I have been thinking the same thing? I did some study..In california alot of the counties have low limits but the fines for breaking the rules seemed pretty low The best laws are in norther cali IMO even with the new shit that is going on their...I was thinking of going to oregon it seams pretty relaxed...6 plants 18 immature and 24 oz is pretty good....not as nice as 77+ in the around the bay? Ive been off the forum for a bit...glad to see your still around

Nevada is implementing new rules for growers as dispensaries start off here. Higher plant count (12) but you are not supposed to grow if you live 25 miles from a dispensary...unless they do not carry your strain that you medicate with. Northern Nevada does not get as hot as say Vegas but does get pretty cold, both have very low humidity (dessert). I would say CA or OR would be better bets. Cannabis is also more socially acceptable in CA or OR more so than NV(at least where Im at, Reno). Also there is no way to get seeds or clones legally in NV. The law is pretty messed up here. In short I don't advise Nevada as a good state for a grower to move to (I did it for a job).

i dont know about those three. I was looking on the eastern slop(the non rainy side of the state) of mt olympia washington, in wine country(tri cities), would be awesome . Dont go to colorado, too many growers, everyone has bugs and mildew. they also got the russet hemp mite out here, we are all kind of sharing the same issues as the grower network is so large! Ntm rent and land is going through the roof out here.

I love Cali. I used to live in San Diego but frequented the bay area every weekend. Imo I would not want to be a grower in Cali as it seems way too saturated. I'd chose between Oregon and Nevada or wait to see what other markets open up this year as decriminalizing and legalisation spreads more.

Tm,
Another consideration for some people is state income tax. Ca and OR are high...Nevada and Washington have none. I live in Oregon but am considering a move to southern Washington...higher plant count and no State income tax.
