Okay I am new to growing I have a couple of options of where to set up my grow I have a attic above my garage and it's going on winner I have an attic above my house with a chimney running through it I also have a camper it is about 23 foot or more the last option is it a small room in my basement that used to be a darkroom what used to be a dark room the problem there is there is no air slow except for a old dryer vent leading to the outside. And it's going on winter here in Michigan so so many places I just don't know the best place so if anyone of you have any input a good ideas of where I would appreciate it thank you so much

Basement for sure, it would cost a ton of money to get an attic set up right then you still have the headache of weird ceilings and prob still have environmental issues. I saw the pictures you posted of that room. I'd take out everything and relocate it, I know that's sensitive since what u said is stored there but just try to find other space for that stuff. I'd also take out the cabinets and counter if you own the home or landlord doesn't care. That has the potential of a very nice room. I wish I had a basement they help out with grow environment quite a bit. It sounded to me like you did have a couple holes just that one was small. How many watts do you want to run or if you don't know that how much yield do you want? What's the budget look like for build? All these will help better decide what to do in that room but it's def ur best choice. If you go for a personal grow and have the money for led you might be able to make that old dryer vent work for exhaust, if you want to go larger or use hid lighting you will prob need to either find a place to make a new hole or enlarge that one. It sounds harder than it is.

Oh and if not much budget cheapest option would be to measure floor space available in that room and find a tent to fit, if it's only a small grow then vent the tent with ducting thru that hole that goes into another basement room.

Expanding off the comments above. Basement for sure. If this small room you are talking about has a door, you can always either cut vent holes in it, or buy a cheap dummy door to do it to.

I'm in the U.P. of MI, our basement rooms have always been easier to keep balanced as the seasons shift.... Basements do have unique challenges for environmental control. Humidity control especially, even in the dead of winter up here.
The camper has potential, as long as it has adequate insulation, or can be adapted to suit.

I would stay away from the attic. My reasoning is I’m a electrician and you live in in cold climate/ warm climate . Have you ever been in an attic when it’s really cold or really hot outside? The temp swings in attics are staggering. Even from a chilly morning to comfortable day. You will spend all your mental capacity chasing your envrioement
