Best Portable Electronic Vape for 2015

I would have to say my favorite is the Joye e-Vic VTC. I had to purchase a kit with the Tron tank, which I do not care for too much, but the vape works great!

Up to 75 watts of power so you can easily use sub ohm coils and have an intense vaping experience!

It also has a temperature control feature when using titanium, nickel, and other special metal coils.

Other than that, the second best would be the Kanger SUBOX Nano. I like how it is so petite and easy to carry. The subtank nano is awesome. I vaped a full tank with a 0.5 ohm coil with no problems and every draw was great. Now I am trying out the 1.2 ohm coil, which is a bit easier on the lungs.

What is your favorite vape of 2015??

I like the 'Source Orb' V2, dual-coil ceramic bowl. It is sub-ohm, and hits wax/shatter great at 3.2V. I was running it at ~4V, but wanted to cool it down, and found running at 3.2 volts makes the heads last longer. It appears to build up less carbon on the wickless coils and need to be cleaned less often, ie soaked in ISO. Source has gone to V3 with quartz bowls and coil cores, as opposed to the ceramic in V2. Can't say it would make much different in functionality, quartz vs. ceramic.
My understanding is that the sub-ohm or lower-ohm units take lower voltage to get the same heat as a higher ohm unit.

GG - are you using subohm stuff for thc juice? I am getting tired of/frustrated with my nautilus mini tank for it and pondering something new. But never thought of going subohm - seems like it would use up a ton of juice...

On a positive I am proud of myself note... I am officially at zero nicotine on my normal vape juice!!!

Yes and no. The device I have been testing is the kanger subtank nano. It works great on the Joye e-Vic and the kanger SUBOX nano vaporizers. You have the option to use 1.5 ohm, 1.2 ohm, and 0.5 ohm coils.

I can comment on the subohm, I haven't fully tested the others yet. The sub ohm offers a gigantic hit. You have to be real careful with it because it is very easy to get too much vape. I can't really say that it uses up too much juice. It just seems to offer a powerful hit and you don't need to take as many draws. It kind of knocks me down.

Right now I am testing the 1.2 ohm coil, which is working great. Too early to give a good opinion. I can say that the 0.5 ohm (subohm) coil is awesome. Also, there is very little waste when it comes to changing coils.

No leakage, no problems, great draws every time so far. I don't think I will be going back to smoking buds again. It seems I have found the device I have been looking for.

Within 1 to 2 more years, this equipment may no longer be available due to FDA greed and control.

That is great you have eliminated nicotine. With these newer devices and my e-cigg use, I doubled the amount of VG in my mix and cut the nicotine in half. These newer units can handle a more thick liquid. I am also going to try to work it down to zero nicotine.

Grow Godess, You may be interested in this. A couple of years ago I purchased some eucalyptol food-grade terpine, I thought it might make a good thinner for wax/shatter to turn it into a liquid. It did not work well for that, so it sat untouched. I have been playing with PG, VG and PEG to make vaping liquid. I made some 60/40, PG/VG, liquid and added 3 drops of eucalyptol per ml of liquid. The liquid which vaped well at 3.8 volts, now vapes great at 3.1 volts, and is very soothing to the lungs. I vape straight wax, and hit the eucalyptol mix a couple of times intermittently to cool my throat and bronchial tubes. I seem to have less congestion the following morning.

Interesting.
I will sometimes add frankincense or other essential oils to thin mine. Usually a drop or two. It also offers a lower vaping temp and improved vaping experience like you have described.

Does the eucalyptol mix aid in the PG/VG infusion? At least when it comes to mixing an alcohol based concentrate. Just curious.

I had only put the eucalyptol in pure QWISO extract two years ago. Some component(s) of the wax came out of solution, which in retrospect may not have been a problem WRT the THC content. At any rate, I thought it would clog up the wicks in e-vaping so I set it aside. I played with PEG or PG with VG and never got VG to mix with concentrate. I use the PG/VG mix with eucalyptol without concentrate.
To answer your question, I just mixed some eucalyptol with a PG/concentrate mixture, and it seems to mix well, and vape well too. I try to minimize my intake of PG by vaping straight concentrates, as I seem to have an allergy to PG/PEG. I get hives if I take in too much.
After a couple of hours the mixture of concentrate with PG and eucalyptol appears to be separating. I wonder if some of the waxes change. I might play with it and see what seems to stay in solution with the eucalyptol, and if the liquid could be filtered prior to putting in in a vaping pen. I use the IClear 16 with the IClear 30 wick and coils inside.

I just got the haze v3. I like it! Of course it's my first vaporizer. So I have no prior experience with them.

Now that I have been using it more I can better answer.

Yes, I am sticking with subohm coils when it comes to e-cannabis oil.

No, it does not use up a lot of oil. You would think it would, but doesn't seem to.

I have tried the 1.2 ohm and multiple 1.5 ohm coils. They were great at first, but they can't even handle a 1/2 gram of oil before problems starting, like burnt taste, small hits, etc. Just can't seem to adjust to satisfactory vaping.

With the 0.5 ohm (subohm) coil, I put a semi used one back into the tank, and it has gone through another tank, 3 grams x2. The nano tank I have been using has not clogged or flooded. No problems to report. With the Joye vaporizer, it has a bypass mode that allows the user to use any attachment and it automatically adjusts the watts to accommodate the attachment-coil.

I think I will be using subohm coils for the e-cannabis oil from now on.

Next I will be testing the Kanger Subtank Mini. It holds 4.5 ml of fluid. It even comes with a RBA automizer so you can build your own coils if you choose to.

For the e-ciggs I do not have interest in subohm.

I think all three of these are awesome!

KangerTech SUBOX mini platinum - Joye e-Vic VTC - KangerTech SUBOX nano

Battery: LG HG2 INR18650 LiMn 3000mAh - 20 amp I am not sure if it is continuous with a 40 amp pulse or if it is just a 20 amp pulse, but it works well.

With e-ciggs you do get a burnt taste with a new V2 1.5 ohm coil. After about a 1/2 tank it seems to go away and then they start tasting real good. For e-cannabis I recommend the 0.5 ohm coil.

The subtank mini uses the same coils as the subtank nano with one exception, the mini can use a RBA coil (rebuildable).

If I were to choose the first one to try, I would probably go with the KangerTech SUBOX nano kit. It is the least expensive and more simple to operate. The kit is around $50-$60 but you will also need to purchase the batteries and a charger.

Unfortunately, my favorite place with the best prices to shop at, My Vapor Store, only has the nano in purple and pink right now. You may have to pay more elsewhere, but I don't think you will regret it.

If you get one of these, let us know how it works out for you with sub ohm vaping of e-cannabis and how it works with e-ciggs.

If you are used to a pen battery, it may take a bit to become accustomed to the box vapes.

For dried herb the Storz en Bickel Crafty is my favourite with the Arizer's (Solo and Air) a close second.

For oil / shatter I love the stuff from W9Tech, namely the Hercules SR74+. It takes a while to get used to it but it is an awesome vape.

Thanks for the feedback, I was curious about that product in regards to vaping dry herb.

I believe I can attach the Hercules to the SUBOX Nano, I just need to use my handy dandy adapter, unless they wised up and are using 510 threads now.

They are still using the 601 thread. The heating element is available in 3.7 and 7.4 Volt versions. I have been using one for more that a year now and I am still on my first heating element.

Alright @Grow Goddess I am going to give it a shot. My main thing is that I want to use the same battery for THC and traditional, but don't want subohm plumes in my normal stuff.

Thanks as always!
GrowinDad, now that you have tried it, would you say it is the best you have used so far? Your experience and opinions are valued in this community.

I have some pretty high quality oil here. I can only handle a draw or two, it is very thick. It takes longer to feel the effects, but they last. The expando is unbelievable. Pictured is the KangerTech KBOX mini, platinum, with the subtank nano.

Definitely! I was really surprised to like the sub-ohm for THC juice. Things I am noticing is that (a) atomizer not clogging up immediately (b) nice airy hit (c) better flavor delivery.

The bypass mode on the Joyetech battery rocks. I don't the high wattage subohm stuff for my normal juice and its awesome to be able to switch between the two without needing to adjust the setting.

been plugging along with my old Pax (1.0) and thinking about something new. Christ, what a selection to choose from. Had my eye on the Storz. {{sigh, decisions}}
