If you are talking HLG quantum boards then
hlg 135kit, or a hlg qb96 run on a 120-150 watt driver.
4 qb 132 or 4 qb120 on its respective 120-150 watt driver

For a 2x2 you won't really need more than 150 watts, so a single QB288 would do the job just fine. If you want more efficiency, you could run two boards, each at a lower wattage. Strips would also be a great option, especially with only 4 feet of height. Personally, I would avoid the QB96 in such a short, small space; they really need to be hung high to get the most out of them.

4Ft is low, you will probably have a filter in there too.

I would go with two single boards on a 150w driver so you don't have to have the lights 18" above canopy

2 boards. I've used two 132 boards and I've used two 120 boards before in a 2x2 before. I actually preferred the 120 boards, one of them 3000k and one 4000k did the best. I've even used two original 324 boards turned down in there before. I'd run 10-12 seeds in 1 gallons to see if anything was worth another go in bigger rooms but with such low yields was hard to get enough 2g samples out to all my testers so moved on from 2x2 for tester tents. Honestly though If you got room get a 2x4 at very minimum and just buy a 4 pack off Amazon and a driver and push them at 240-280w.
