Ok so this is my first grow. I now i need a good soil but do not now witch one to get. do you need a different type of soil for seedings. Would 1 bag of soil per plant make a good monster. I do not want to skimp on my soil better to spend a couple of bucks more for better quality. So for all you exsperienced outdoor growers help a brother out and throw your knowledge my way.

yea 40L bag of soil would be sweet !!! per plant if you want massive ladies !!!! are you using nutes ?? if a soil is good and not to packed with nutes then yes you can use it for seedlings, just dont feed them for first 1-2 weeks of life, if soil is too nute rich start them in a seed started mix !!! i dont have home depots were i am, just get a soil that has good drainage but can hold water ?? a good mix should have peat, perlite, worm castings, coir, some manure ect...

if say there is fox farms soil, you can go onto there website and they should have a meterials data sheet that tells you the ph, ingredients ect... ect...

anything by kellog is pretty good. I mix their compost, ammend, and patio plus soil into my clay dirt with a roto-tiller and it works awesome. add in some manure's and guano's and a little bone meal and it's a great start to the season's nutrients!

So this is going to be my final decision. Start seedlings in mg seedling soil. Then i will get 6 bags of patio plus 1 for each plant. I will get 1 bag of perlite to mix in with all 6 bags. I will start my seeds indoors on 4/20 then put them out doors in holes 5/30 give them time to veg so they can handle the cold. I live in washington it is cold and rainy what should i worry about when i plant in the growned? There are alot of spiders will they in any way mess with my plant? Just try to give me all the knowledge i need to have a great harvest!!

I mixed mushroom compost, a bag of all purpose potting soil(containing peat moss, perlite, and, sand), perlite, vercumlite, handful of alfalfa along with a couple TBSP bat guano into my native soil, and add compost teas along the way. I purchased everything at walmart, except for the guano.
