Best THC-preserving pulling time

Do I have full THC level if I pull the 2 diesel ryder ladies out (indoor, CFL, PC case/wardrobe compartment) after the first small bunch of amber trichs? I'm still early in the endeavour, but I'm having some personal ish goin on right now, can't afford buyin for the moment, and I was wondering, what's the earliest time I could make my move?

And also, if any of y'all can point me to the analogy between cloudy vs amber trich percentace to the high vs stoned effect in the end?

Thanks

Get yourself a 30x microscope. (the hydro store sells dope ones with a light in em) Your buds will mature and the pistils and flowers will begin to turn amber around week 6 of flowering. This doesnt mean your ready to harvest. The microscopic trichomes are what to look at. To the naked eye, they appear as frost on leaves especially around bud sites. The rule of thumb is 80percent amber 20percent milky white tricomes for the best compromise between peak harvest weight and peak potency.

Theres a bunch of different cannabinoids in growing and harvested marijuana that all have different effects on the high. THC, THCV, CBD, CBN, CBC and CBL are all different psychoactive cannabinoids that have different effects on your high. Do a bit of research if you really want to learn what these different chemicals specifically do and how they compliment each other.

Basically harvest early and get more of a head high. Harvest later and get more a a stoned couch lock type high. This has to do with the production, degradation, and transformation of these different cannabinoids in the plant. You can use this knowledge to compliment whatever strain your growing. You can harvest indicas a bit late to compliment the heavyness of the indica high. You can harvest sativas a bit early to compliment the headyness of the sativa high. Be careful now. Dont harvest sativas early in comparison to indicas because sativas usually take a bit longer to reach full maturity.

Just get a microscope.

"The Stichting Institute of Medical marijuana (SIMM), the first company to sell marijuana through the pharmacies of Holland, has been investigating the medical possibilities of cannabis, together with TNO laboratories and the University of Leiden.

One of their discoveries has been that to keep the ripe plants in the dark before harvesting could increase their potency.SIMM’s growers separated a crop of mature plants, harvested half of them and kept the other half in absolute darkness for 72 hours before cutting and drying. Analysis of the resulting dried buds showed that some varieties had seen an increase of THC of up to 30%, while CBD and CBN remained the same."

Except for the fact that this only appears on forums and if you search for any of the keywords you will discover I'm right, not even mentioned on the Institutes website :)

I'd say you're ready to harvest now. You could leave one for a a longer time and see if you prefer the difference.

Thanks for pointing this out. I've written the Institute for more documentation.

Just received the following from The Stichting Inst.:

Yes, that's true...some varieties do 30 %... but some do not and only do ..
10 %..

Must have ventilation during the period of darkness...

Due to a court case...the article is removed from the internet,,!!
