Yo RIU whats up!

Gonna get some trimming scissors soon and want to know your opinions on which are the best? Think im gonna have to choose between the bud clean or chikamasa ones. Which are the best would you say? Also would you go for the curved blade or straight? I think it would be easier with the curved for getting into tight areas! If im wrong put me straight! Peace

small curved to get close to the buds you want it springed so it dont hurt your hands so bad and this to make sure you can see everything your cutting you dont want no thick ones you cant see around and you cut some bud off lol

Fiskers straight blade for me, fabric stores and wally world carry at much better prices than hydro stores and if you look for coupons to get even better deals on them, home depot carries them too. I found that the curved ones are good for cutting away the bulk but with the straight fiskers they are pointed and thin at tips and can get into bud easier to do detailed and get in deep to get the sweet leaf at the stem instead of just leaves.

I like the Fiskar micro tips also. I get them on Amazon for $9.99. I've noticed that bonsai scissors are popular as well when I do trim work.

I like to rub the blades with a little bit of olive or coconut oil so they don't get so sticky and it makes them a little easier to clean.

2-3 pairs of fiskars with a glassfull of 70% alcohol (91% evaporates too quickly) for soaking and a spritz of pam will keep you trimming precisily indefintely. Good luck.
