Okay, I have a 20-40X pocket scope, but it is hard to see the trix. I sure don't want to cut them down first, but he plant doesn't stay still, LOL, so what is the best method for looking at the trix?

Snip off a small piece of sugar leaf & lay in on a table. Place scope over it & focus.
Poof, now you can see !

The sugar leaf is the little single leaf popping out from the bud?

I can safely assume that what I see on the leaf is there for the bud?

Just that bud or all of them on the plant?

Thanks.

For the most part what's on the sugar leaf will be on the bud. It's a smaller sample size to see though, but it should be close.

As far as it being only for that bud.. I've noticed some of my buds are maturing differently. But not by much. I personally do as jakabok said, just throw the scope up to the bud so I dont end up snipping everytime i wanna check lol :eyesmoke:

On my scope, you need to keep the button pressed for the LED to light, then you need to focus as well. I'm having a hard time trying to keep the plant still as I press the button and then try to focus. Would be a big help if the damn light was an on/off switch instead of a "push to keep light on" type.

Simple, like GWN says just cut off a small piece of leaf and place it on the back of your left hand if right handed.
Plant the bottom of your 'scope on the back of your left hand and simply rock the 'scope back and forth until your
greenery comes into focus.
