Best way to germinate seeds?

I've messed around a bit with seeds in the past, and tried 2-3 methods of germinating. Now I have recently made quite the order and already have them in hand from a seedbank. Now I really want to know the best way to germinate them.

I've tried the leaving them in water once with a few seeds(90% sure I did it wrong)
I've put them in a moist paper towel and bag and put them in my closet (Best germ rate for me, but takes a bit longer. I've probably got an overall 90% rate with this with 15ish seeds)
I've also placed them in a moist paper towel and bag and put them on my internet router (fastest, under 24 hours, but lower germ rate, again I think I messed something up. Dead seeds were almost squishy.)

Anyway,
Please tell me your favorite/best ways. Any suggestions or ideas would be great :)

Put the seed in the starter container with some fresh medium, like fresh peat moss, then water it and wait for it to sprout.

I place seed straight in soil and water in also. I also use a small window seal heat mat to keep the cup warm. Then once it spouts I remove heat mat and get a cfl on it.

Drop the seeds into a damp medium about 1cm deep and wait. Do not over water, do not cover the medium with a cover that will create a humid or hot environment, if outdoor do not put them in direct sunlight.

I usually drop them into a dark shot glass filed with water wait 18-24 hrs for seeds to sink to the bottom. then put in moist paper towel fold up an put into a plastic zip lock. In a warm dark place. Check every day for little tap root. The root should be 1/4 in. Long, then gently place seed about 1/2 in down into medium and don't feed anything. The have enough energy to last them till they r out of seedling stage. Once the little seedling leaves start yellowing and dying off is when I've learned to start introducing 1/4 strength nutes. Hope any of this helps good luck and happy growing

What works best for me is take a dinner plate and lay the damp paper towel on one and set the beans on top. Then I put another damp paper towel on top and cover it with the other plate. Then I tape the edges and put a small lamp over it to keep the plate nice and warm. Make sure to add a few sprays of water to the top paper towel each day and remember some seeds can take up to a week to germinated depending on the age etc.seed germination.png But putting them right in the pot or rapid rooter works fine too. I have never had luck with the cup method not really sure why, I put them in a dark place at a good temp and just never had much luck with it.
