Best way to heat a 4x4 tent?

So like the question states, I run a 4x4 with a passive intake. My problem is that at lights off it gets around 64 degrees and there's a good chance it will get colder going into the winter. I bought a small heater to warm the tent up, but the problem is that the exhaust just sucks the hot air out before it can heat the tent. I want to know if I would benefit more from putting the exhaust on a timer and having it only run every couple minutes or so for a minute so that heat can build up or if I should be heating the room the tent is in instead of the actual tent. I dunno, I'm open to any and all suggestions. Thanks and sorry for the long post

I use a thermal sensor that ran about 50 bucks. Exhaust plugged into one of these... This old one ran for 8 years before it broke.

I have one of those that I could hook up to the exhaust fan. Would there be any negative effects if the exhaust were to stay off for an extended period of time while the tent warms up? I've heard exhaust the whole rooms air every five minutes at least, just want to know if that's a must or if there are exceptions

It's always good to have some ventilation flow - be it a occilating fan or squirrel cage fan design... I set my thermal temps 10 degrees below need to keep exhaust fan on longer.

Ok cool, so I have a oscillating fan blowing on plants and a squirrel cage fan blowing air straight up. I'll use the thermal sensor to shut the exhaust off when temps drop too low. Should be the fix then. Thanks for taking the time to help!
