Best Way To Silence GrowBright Fan

Hello everyone:bigjoint:

I was wondering what the best way to quiet down a 4" GrowBright fan is ?

I've read about building a box for it and suspending it from the ceiling, has anyone done this ?

I will be using the GrowBright 4"Jr. Carbon Filter with it and insulated ducting.

Just trying to get some ideas for the best way to do it, and if anyone has successfully silenced one of these fans.

Pictures are welcomed in this thread.

All help is greatly appreciated and thanks in advance.:leaf:

I spliced in this fan controller/dimmer. Works great and it's almost quite now. They also sell ones that just plug in, no splicing required. They go for 24-30 dollars.

Thanks, by the time someone answered I already had it installed. I mounted it in the attic right above my grow room, I used a 2" thick piece of rubber to mount it on and insulated ducting. I already had the speed controller, and honestly now that's it's mounted it's quieter on full speed than it is on a lower setting. I cut a hole in the ceiling of the grow room and presto all done. All air can be exhausted from the room in about 30 seconds now.:leaf:
