The census screwing around sucks ass, and is very scary. Between that and the judges it is going to be a long 10 years.

Im cool with the land weighted presidential election system we have here. Our rural communities would get screwed otherwise. And as we are now learning, our lands natural resources and the impact it has on the entire global environment, the land really does need to be considered.

We just as a society need to be able to vote without the roadblocks.
But look at what is happening in Montana. They elected the worst person in the world to be governor. He going to open up over half a million acres to mining, hunting and even development. In my view the electoral College has racist origin and continues to be racist.

I am pretty floored that Biden won the Grand Rapids area in Michigan.

It kills me how effective the suppression of the Latino vote was in Michigan, not even enough to get accurate results.

It is hard to argue that. It is based on land ownership, and that has historically been very racist (sexism too of course) in American history.

Big land grabs have occurred under Trump. Hopefully when everything gets exposed their citizens can step up and vote people out who don't have their best interests in mind.

Decades of propaganda aimed at these rural areas has given the Republicans too much power just by claiming the Democrats are evil.

Biden has outsmarted Trump and set up the Transition Teams months ago under the guise of 'Foreign Policy' team:lol:

the vid Beau referenced:

This is what intelligent and responsible government by a team of experts looks like, they anticipate this like they would have anticipated covid. Almost half of America rejected this in favor of the chaos and death of Trump, more would have went along if Trump wasn't such a dangerous asshole.

Don't push or antagonize the right, they are fueled by anger and grievance, when you take that away from them only the hatred remains. You must win the peace, to win the ultimate war of survival as a liberal democracy capable of growth and change. The alternative is to be a personification of Trump, incapable of growth and change, with only one emotional state predominating, fear and hate. That is no way forward, that is death.

It's original purpose and intent was to keep people like Donald out of power, to thwart the will of the people if you will. You could have an electoral collage, but a PhD in psychiatry or psychology should be a prerequisite for selection and the freedom to use their expertise and judgement on the president elect and VP pick! Normal is a pass go.

i have a short subscription with Denver Post and I'm not happy saw Westword, i should go with that.
i thought westword got shut down long ago: they were involved in a similar lawsuit as craigslist advertising rub and tugs and sex trafficking.
guess they cleaned up their act. they used to have some good restaurant reviews (they might still)

Fair point.

It is an excellent example of one of the type of branding that they have applied to scare their flock into thinking the worst of the Democrats.

Talk radio I always found loved to use the whimsical terminology the most.

I can't stand Mark Levin. He is the worst, but was the only political radio on when I would be driving home from work around 9pm every day.

Them on Newsmax was thrilled Trump was able to deliver them a vaccine under Operation Warpspeed. I had to inform them that Pfizer developed the vaccine and that they paid for the development and was not funded by Trump.

"But they are one of seven companies under Warp speed." Yes they are but that is just for distribution. The vaccine is coming off their production line in Belgium.

"They announced it after the election rather than before to tank Trump."

Well it may look like to you but Pfizer is a world company and while the US is a major market it has more sales outside than in the US. And they would not sit on the information waiting for the election to be over with the risk of another company announcing their vaccine beating Pfizer to the punch. Very America-centric these Trumpkins.

thankfully, not everyone/everything revolves around trump..i would've been happier if it wasn't known even longer for obvi reasons. 50k? over 330M?

really we didn't even need to know this.

I guess I'm in the half of people who won't get one. At least at this point. And it has nothing to do with conspiracy or politics. I'll wear the mask, kinda like it. But as far as a vaccine to me it's a risk/ benefit ratio st this point. If I were at risk I wouldn't think differently I'm sure. Or if I lived with any at risk people I would likely get one.
How can you asses the risk at this point? No vaccine has finished trials, been approved or released in the US.
