Exactly... surface of the sun, solarflares are intense.
Most all LED panels are currently 3w not 5w so yes unless you have a 5w panel (solarflare/also blackdog), dont worry about bleaching with the 3w ones.

Now I don't have a chart or anything lol, this is merely my experience using LEDs a few years now with my specific panels.
The lumens/intensity dropoff is exponential with each inch making for only ~12-18" of optimal penetration using 3w panels.
5w LED panels (Solarflares/BlackDogs) have a good ~20"+ optimal penetration.

Common sense is if your hand gets too hot under the lights, its too close for the plant as well.
Im aprox. 6" away using my BlackStar... for my solarflares 12+" to avoid bleaching.
Those are all flowering distances btw.

Need some help guys, i added this to my cfl grow and after 2 12/12 days i see this... They were pretty thirsty a day late on h2o... But ive never seen emm so sad the led is 12in from "canopy" is it to close i believe there 1 watt bulbs.. Whats going on?
