Big Buddha Chiesel

Here are some pics of Big Buddha's Chiesel that I have grown. Overall this strain is ok, I think it is a little more sensitive to nutrients than other strains, it was very quick to respond to over fertilization by its leaves drooping and curling very fast after feeding. I used the Fox Farm line of nutrients throughout the grow, as i do on all of my plants. Tell me what you think, the two plants are from two different grows. I know there isnt much info out there about this strain and pictures are worth 1000 words.
-400 watt hps flower
-ff ocean forrest soil
-vegged both about 1 month

pics 1-4 from 2nd chiesel grow
4-8 from 1st

Ok, i think that she is a little bit fussy on the nutes, so i uses about a 1/3 of the recommended dosage. She will grow as one main cola plant with lower popcorn sprouts if you DONT top her. I would recommend to top her at least once. Be careful with stress, i had some banana's from light related stress.(just a small crack in the grow tent) She should reek of fuel by the 5 week of flower, then you are on the home stretch, ending around 60-70 days. Dont pay attention to her hairs, please look at the trichs. I have noticed her hairs browning very early. Of the 7 strains ive grown, this one is the earliest.

I'm growing Chiesel right now... You're right about the hairs.
This is at day 34 -

What was your yield? I only am growing a single "test" plant and not sure what is "normal" for her...

Looks good for day 34, I only veg for 30 days, and i yielded approx 30 grams two different times. Wouldnt say its a big yielder but it is some sweet smoke.

just converting to aeroponics aquamist systems from soil growing in two 1.2m grow tents. going to use this strain of Big Buddha Chiesel only because I love the smoke and taste so here's hoping for a big yield for my first attempt at aeroponics.

I just finished a Chiesel grow, 5 plants in a 45 litre NFT set up with 1 x 400w hps and 2 x 125w red cfls for side lighting, outstanding yeilds for the size I grew them to, got 14oz dry weight from 5 plants...!!

The bad news was despite being in the same tank, with the same nutes and same lights only 1 of them had the taste and smell, 4 of the plants smelt more like grass (as in garden lawn) I can only assume I got bad pheno's on 4 of them..?

Just wait, the smell will come back during the cure. If you cure it properly (IE 2-3 weeks) you will be very happy with the results. If you have any ? on curing let me know.

Glad to see some more Chiesel getting grown. Ive got two at around 3 weeks 12/12. One was way better than the other from seed so i put more concentration in that but still threw in the other aswell. The better one i topped at the third node then once the two new tops got to about 10 inches like two plants coming from one stem, I put light weights on the tops so it split out into a Y shape. I kept the weights on, moving them along as it grew, untill the two tops reached my space capacity then stopped moving the weights along so the ends would turn up towards the light and started forming into two main cola's as they would have, only now all other branches have shot straight up along the Y shape and also grew into main top's! I knew this was a bushy plant with thick leaves so tried to get the most light getting to the whole plant without stressing it too much, and its something that seems to have worked well and i'll def. be doing again!
The other plant has came on ok. I should have put it in a bigger pot. Might still do that, but i have clones of them both incase im wrong about the better one of the two! Im just looking for some nice tasting Diesel with a dank skunky musk to it! I just grew some SSH which grew real well and a good crop, but next to no taste! I grow this realy nice Pineapple that i'll grow forever (hopefully) and although its realy nice and easy to grow, im still looking for the fuel! I will get some Pic's up over next couple days. Peace: Jambo
