I think this is awesome. Click my gallery if you could Video, are my plants to big to do this with? If they are not then I think I understand what to do. And I will give it a go, and tell you what happens

that molasses trick is not about plant size, that only matters if you are growing indoors since the bigger a plant gets the more lights and watts are needed to flower it well.

you pics look like you are outdoors, so your limit is rather the sky since sun is stronger then any HPS;)

so go ahead and feed your babies some molasses;) and cut down on the fertilizer an bit/check your pH of soil, looks like you running in some trouble with nute burns. if your soils pH is below 5.5 salts of acids start to build up in it and lock the nutes from the roots, flushing with water would be first aid in this case.

Again, more roots, the bigger the plant, and the bigger the plant, the bigger the yield.
Video: I get the basic idea and it makes sense. But when you say "choose a spot midway up a branch", you mean to stick that branch, with the newly formed roots, in the soil, right? Now, will that branch continue to grow new flowering tips?

Use: I'm looking to grow a vine-like plant with one main stem, travleing low and winding around the pot untill I force her to flower. Adding another root system midway along the one stemmed vine would be a great way to build bigger growth and yield, provided the terminal growing tip continues to grow after I have planted the new roots, now grown in the middle of the stem. Make sense? It would be like 2 roots systems for one plant, one stem. Like a sucker that many plants have. Think it'll work?

Yeah dude, that'll work. Your pretty much free to adapt this to your style of growing, as you see fit. You could take the stem you have traveling along the ground, and pick a spot to utilize this method to force it to grow roots.
More roots is a good thing.

That's great dude, I'm glad to hear that you used this, and that it worked for you! It is all about the roots.

I have a 8" plant right now, that I will be doing this on Videoman. I read this about 2 weeks ago, and did more research on it, so I fully understand it. This is exeptionally valueable to a outdoor plant that usually gets stretched a bit, you can turn any amount of stretchage into roots. :: )

if you q tip on some root hormone and use a slit straw and a little piece papertowel you can form roots before you clone. this method would work on nearly every plant known to stoners.

Combing that with lst would make some big ass buds like daydrops said.

I'm going to try it with a PC style grow using lst.

I can't believe how much knowledge you have on growing V-man. It pays to work the internet as I have seen you write about so often. I will be checking all your threads once I start my grow.
