The Black making their first appearance!

Had me some Girl Scout Cookies. Still think its a horrible name. (My daughter's a scout). It didn't give me courage, character, or confidence but it DID have choco-mint undertones on the exhale.

I've secured a platonic lunch date with a hot girl at work to smokey da spliff. Oh yes! The only way for a married man to have fun with hot girls who he's not married to. Merry 4:20 and God bless. Everyone!

"She'll be transplanted in another week or so. I ran out of soil (again!). Can I put her in straight earth castings? That's bout all I got at this point. "

No. Castings are too dense and retain water much to much. It needs to be mixed with other stuff. If left by itself it gets hard and soupy, and the roots have a hard time with it.

Other than that you are looking good. I'm a little envious of your clones. I'm up in Butte County and all the dispensarys in the area where I used to get clones are gone. I either have to go down around Sacramento or up north to Redding area, which are scheduled to close as well.
I've never seen a cat chew on canibus befor, but I keep the criters away from my grow anyway. I think its kind of funny. Maybe the strain was crossed with catnip ;)
It sounds like you have a good idea on what you want to do. I'm going to follow your posts just to see how those early plants will do outdoors. I'm really itching to get mine in the ground as well. Mid may looks like the date for my area though, if I can wait that long.

On soil, I bought a 20% worm castings 80% compost mix from the local worm farm for 45.00 a yard and mixed my own. Azomax, blood and bone meal, perlite, basically. I figured its a bit cheaper than store bought and I used this last year with decent results. I also ran a compost tea brewer for extra nutes so I didn't really have to add much else while growing. Much cheaper than store bought.

Happy gardening

HI,
The dolomite and glacial are best mixed before planting, the glacial can take a very long time to break down, years even, this product is often used for fruit trees and landscape bushes. Look for TMI or trace mineral additive (the stuff mined form UTAH) it's a bit faster. If you run into serious problems with pH you may need to look for a faster lime that can be taken down with water, I hate ti say it but hydrated is one of these. Consider simply adding these amendments to some fresh soil or compost and topdressing with it in this manner, Over time your clones feeder roots will find their way up to it!

You may regret planting clones outdoors before may 15, I'm in the same area as you and May 15 is the day clones can go out, the end of May to play is safe. This can be prevented by simply supplementing your photo-period with artificial light.lightclones.jpg

Sounds like a great organic soil mix and what a deal! $45 a yard? That's damn good. I just spent aoub t$20 for a cubic foot.

Just make sure you get rid of your stray cat nip. Dont want any cross polination. ;)

As far as your clones go, elcaminowellnesscenter has a website that you can look at before you make the drive. They have decent clone selections.

@Gore, thanks for the tips brothaman.

As it turns out, I received a pouch of azomite on Friday. I top dressed that immediately and I’m thinking it should be more bioavailable than glacier rock because its such a fine powder? I dunno if that hypothesis actually would make sense in real science…

Thank you so much for the GREAT IDEA. I noticed Saturday morning that the plant seemed to be stretching up and I noticed little preflowers forming.

NOT ON MY WATCH!!!!

Ran to Lowes and I spent roughly $8

All put together. Inside view.

I turn the light on before dusk. Roughly 6pm and I leave it on until 12am. Do you guys think that will the right amount of darkness to keep it vegging?

It is completely dark outside and this is the view from inside the box.

I got some new babies today that wanted to join the family
The full healthy looking clone to the left is a Bubba Lavender. The longer burnt one to the right is an Alaskan Ice. I went to the club that I got my first cuttings ever for. I’m happy that in 2012, they’ll tell you whether or not they have clones in over the phone. In 2007, that was impossible to get them to tell you anything besides whether or not they’re open.

The Alaskan Ice, is the one I’m really excited about. I never smoked it and I only bought it because it was half off for being unnattractive. But I might be a moron, not a novice. The roots were coming in nice, so I grabbed one. I’ll go back at lunch today and grab another if there’s more because last night I looked up what Alaskan Ice is all about. Needless to say, I am VERY excited.

Starting at upper left and going clockwise:

Jack Herer making EXCELLENT progress. I keep her in the light box with the GDP in the evening.

Two black feminized seeds from Farmer George.

Bottom right-Blueberry bagseed. I hope it’s a male. I want to do some breeding (aka pollen chucking) and blueberry makes a great parent.

Bottom left-Another black feminized. I used soil from my raised garden. Looks like it’s burning. Oh gosh…I suck at making soil.

The black feminized, the blue berry, and the new clones are taking root in 20% earthworms and 80% peat from some used peat pellets that didn’t sprout.

End of the night. Did a lot of running around before I had an opportunity to plant the clones. My biological father came through with his new girlfriend (HOT asian woman!) And she gave me this earwax that she made. I dripped it onto a rollie and spliffed it with some mango and bc purps. I know the spliff is nasty folks! That’s why I’m trying to get a good harvest, so I don’t have to smoke tobacco to make my smoking pleasure stretch!

If that's the dream...then we're all alchemists!

I decided to keep Jack Herer under 24 lights with the others. New box. Ran out of white paint. I never made successful clones, but do you guys think I will be able to put a bunch of clones outdoors in July just from these three strains?

More trials of a moron. The biggest leaf got a little burned from the CFL. I dont know where to get hooks and stuff that you drive into the soil, but that's okay because I have a thrift shop charger that doesn't fit anything I have and a broken santa clause ornament to save the day!

Been good so far but I haven't reached the end yet so its been easy to take out. I dont know if I'm gonna scrape the bag or not afterward. It was free so I'm not trippin. :eyesmoke:

I ended up ripping open that bag of wax and scraping it with a bobby pin. Good shit!

Babysas, Jack Black would sound good! I'm hoping this bagseed blueberry is a male. Throw some of that pollen on The Black and call it "Bruiseberry."

Kvnbeach, I dont know bro. When I grew it in the past, i didn't pinch or top it. Any pics of the finished product? I'll post some pics in about 6 weeks-when its good and bushy and we'll do some comparingtne.

I only use plain water and organic materials. Any suggestions on flushing a plant that's in a raised bed?

If I dont flush and just continue to use plain water, will it pull through?

Apparently I created a soil great for collard and kale greens but shitty for weed. I have steer manure under the raised bed mixed with native soil so im afraid it's getting burnt. I kept a hose in the box for a couple hours today. I'm considering digging it up and reporting. One of the reasons i stuck it in the box to prove to some old time growers of mine that quality of dirt really affects flavor and potency but now I'm feeling sad for the girl.
