Black Trichomes

well, I dont know that answer.

Seeing mold doesnt really hurt you because its heated, and its micro, and burnt up, and not "Loose" like surface mold, where it can be smoked, horrible to do so, because when you roll a joint for instance, the moldy spores would be drawn into your lungs, simply because its not ALL burnt before lungs.

SO, i would wait for someone more in the industry to give a proper answer.

Even as far as "its moldy Trics tops", Im just telling what Ive heard, but extremely hard to find anything else on it.

I've heard of the black trichomes before. I have never heard anyone claim they were moldy.

I would really think if the trichomes started to mold, that it would spread to the buds in no time, or at least into larger patches of molded trichomes. The pictures at the beginning looked to me to be mostly independantly "black" trichomes. I still really think they are actually dark purple.

Was there any other mold on the buds?

No mold on the buds at all. The strain is Gelato and I checked another Gelato plant that is about ready to be harvested. I seen a couple of black trichomes on it. None of the other plants in the room have black trichomes.

Cookie crosses are known to have purple traits. I don't know, without really magnifying it with some light passing though.

Grew Kali Mist once and had black trichomes. Went too long and were all brown/black. I think it’s just degraded compounds, that smoke made me lethargic as fuck.

I think you may be right Nutty. Here are a couple of pictures of a Zkittlez I have growing right now. @Thundercat @Nizza Mentioned that the picture needed to be in better light. I have been trying to read the thrichomes with the regular light in the room not very bright at all. So I brought the Zkittlez out and looked at it under some natural light and it's a whole different looking plant.Kzittlez 1.jpg Kzittlez 2.jpg Kzittlez 3.jpg Kzittlez 4.jpg

so its possible something behind the plant was giving it the illusion of a black trichome and now you probably see the amber instead?

I would imagine if you have a white wall behind the wall looking towards the plant would eliminate a possibility of this happening, I've never actually seen a black trichome myself but I figured maybe it was just an optical illusion

Its hard for me to really tell the trichomes from your pictures
