blocking light through your fans

im building a nice little box but need some ideas and or info about how to block light through your fans? im using a small 80mm fan im assuming just mylar but is there anything else i dont want to constrict air flow any input would b nice thanks.. :leaf:

not an expert but i heard ducting that has black on the inside in sorta a little bit of a curve shoud do the trick like maybe a foot or two. shouldn't cut down to much on air flow

Nah I can't hook ducting up to it nor do I want to to b honest I'm looking for something flat I just didn't want to buy entire roll of mylar for a 2 inch hole ya know?

Black speaker cloth works wonders, really helps kill the light and still allows for air flow.

some good ideas thanks guys i think i might go with the speaker cloth due to the fact the whole is only 3inches big and round so that would probably be my best bet much appreciated.

had the same problem
made a 'duct' from aluminum foil, you can easily build any shape
works like the proverbial charm
