I dont know whats going on, growing on DWC and this plant growing in slow motion or something, i see the pistils on all the bud sites, problem is i dont see the buds just pistils. and some are turning brown so i dont get it cus it dont even have buds yet, :confused:
what could be the problem. i give it big bloom, i put less nutes this time, just changed the water yesterday.
maybe if i cut of some leaves so more bud sites get more light sense its blocking them.
i got 2 Cfl lights
one is a 7000 LUMEN~500w13" it is full spectrum 5000k
it is the biggest cfl avail. its 105 watts
and the other one is a 6500K Spectrum
200 WaTTS oF PoWeR OuTPuT
maybe because im not using 2700k. but i dont got any, but wont 7000 lumen be enuff?

what can i do to make the buds get swole?

I thought 5000k's were worthless?

I'd recommend getting some smaller cfls, maybe some 23w or 42 watt and spread around the plant.

Of course, it could be the genetics. My blackjack has buds that are thick as a silver dollar, where my chrystal looks similar to your blue mystic; however, I'm around almost 30 days into flowering.

You know, I'm kinda clueless as to how long they've been flowering. I think it's almost a month. I know, I know...no excuse, but thats how I roll.

The first pic is my chrystal (which I think looks kinda like yours), the second is my blackjack1 with the thick bud and the third is my blackjack2 that is growing out of control probably because I stretched it.

Sorry for the quality of the pics, but I had to use my webcam to take the pics cuz I got tired of waiting on wifey.

The blackjack buds look good, but the Chrystal is loaded w/ trichs (hence the name I'm sure) and smells vicious even though there's not a lot of bud. It also seems like a high leaf to bud ratio.

Where I'm struggling to see trichs on the blackjack, but the budding is insane. And it's definitely gotta sativa side since my one plant (third pic) is five feet tall. But that middle plant is freaking looking so sweet. Some of the hairs are turning orange, :)

what nutes are you givin them?
wonder if mine is a slow bloomer or if it wont produce alot of bud with the lights im using.

How close are the lights? I don't think the 5000k bulb is helping you and you need some red spectrum favoring bulbs, i.e. 2700-3000k...I would just do the quick and dirty and get some 23w, or 42w 2700k bulbs to supplement it immediately and then if you have a long term plan, implement it. But I would caution against finishing the grow with your current light setup.

I'm using FoxFarms nutes (big bloom, grow big and tiger bloom). But here's what I think the difference is:

My blackjack with the thick cola, it's soil is Miracle Grow (African violets potting mix) and the blackjack loves it! The other two plants are using FoxFarms Ocean Farm. I did some experiments with soil and the blackjack loves the Miracle Grow. The Chrystal on the other hand, hated the Miracle Grow and loves the FoxFarm, wtf??? So, I think the potting soil has some to do it more with the nutes, imo. Of course, I don't know anything.

As far lights, I have about four 42w (2700k) bulbs, four 23w (2700k) and 3 26w daylight bulbs (6500k). The joys of my ghetto ass CFL setup. I also don't have the 6500k bulbs too close to the bud. I use them more for lower lighting in the closet.

But, since it's my first time with CFL's, I'll give myself a break.

I don't know, I was hoping a more senior member would share some of their experiences...

yea im going to buy a XL PLANT GROW LIGHT BULB 2700K


200 watt output hope that will be enuff for my 3 plants

dont look too bad concidering u only got 2 CFL, is it like impossible to get any more over her? i say no less than 6...

i just oredered me a 2700k light 200 watt output,
see what happends when i add this one.
