You can buy everything from Sustainable Village directly but I don't have any idea what the shipping would be. They don't weigh much.

Just saw the shipping charge. Damn we're spoiled here in the US. 1-2 day free delivery here for most stuff. I get annoyed if I have to wait more than 3-4 days.

I think I finally got the hang of them.



Some interesting stuff going on with a few of the plants. The white isn’t mold, it’s toots. There’s a little algae in this one, but it doesn’t seem to be spreading. The roots look like they are trying to build a mound to reach the drop tube.

The black 8mm mainline they provide in the kits is a pain to work with I would suggest the red superflex it's much easier to use and lasts longer, the black stuff also gets brittle if not always in use some of it starts to crack.

Yes never leave your drip line on or too close to the medium as roots will grow up and into your line and plug it. I've seen people post pics of 5 inch roots up the 3mm line

I bought additional 3mm tubing so I was able to just run the 8mm around the perimeter of the tent and then use the 3mm in longer lengths. That made it much easier to move things around for cleaning or whatever. I bought 50 yards of the 3mm and replaced the runs with longer lengths. I still have a big roll of that stuff.

Ya I bought the same I think so I could have them super long for moving as well. But I also got the red 8mm to use instead of the black hard stuff. I also find the black stuff gets brittle over time but I don't use much of it, just a couple inches from the res to my filter. On my flower room wich is always in use the black stuff held up, but the veg one that gets shut down periodically it starts to crack and I have to replace. Also put a on/off valve opposite side of my res with about 7 feet of red 8mm line and use a 8 inch wand if you will of the 8 mm black line to purge the line and fill jugs or water plants, that black wand gets cracked and has to be replaced as well

Not using them at the moment, but usually do and I love them. 1 carrot in each, 3 gallon fabric pots, promix and Jacks. 4 plants in a 4x4. Growing on easy mode.

I've been wondering about that since I first heard about them. I'd sort have been guessing that using either beneficials or a sterilizing agent in your reservoir would be sufficient to prevent that issue, but I have no first hand experience with them.

I think I'm gonna bite the bullet and get the 40 carrot pack. Reg 249 on for 225 right now. I can use the other carrots in the mom tent or for autos or whatever else I got going on. At least this way I'll have a bunch extra in case I need to put more into the pots. Anyone use like a spreader to spread the drips around? Kinda like floraflex's drip ring things?

Has anyone tried the promix cc?

The one mixed with coco?

Also what does everyone mean by 'a runaway'. As in it floods your shit? Lol

This is something I don't get about coco and these things. So if coco dries out it can cause massive headaches I've been told, but your drip line doesn't get it all wet. So what gives? Does the rest of the medium all even out as far as moisture or do you have hot dry spots? Going by the trunk that's obviously not the case. Confused.

The moisture spreads through the coco. The coco at the carrot is wet. It's just the top 1/2 inch or so that's dry.
