Its not that simple. I could point out several specific examples of what the community called "Stand Up Guys" who later went on to rip off and rob the community of thousands of dollars.

The Sin City rep.. manager.. whatever he used to call himself.. Kenny aka Strainhunter ripped me off blatantly as well as a couple of my friends before disappearing into the shadows. Any of the Sin City seeds I got from him weren't what he said they were. I ended up throwing a bunch of stuff away.. and he was their actual rep back then. He didn't just steal from Sin City.. he ripped off Bodhi too.. and another Breeder named Verified Genetics and a whole bunch of forum people.

He and so many were all one of the people everyone would say were great guys.. Stand Up Guys.. lol... this other thief.. named JB.. owner and admin of the forum called The Seed Depot (now not around).. he pulled off one of the biggest seed heists I've ever seen.. day after a drop his bitcoin value went down...he sold (consigned) hundreds of packs that week to waiting customers.. & vanished without a trace with everyone's money and seeds.. he then charged up several of his forum users credit cards thousands of dollars more. Back then it was more common for breeders to work on a consignment system.. he stole from 303 Seeds, Bodhi, Motarebel, Snowhigh.. everyone including the site users like me.

This JB guy had a great reputation.. but at the end of the day these are strangers dude. There is a somewhat decent community out there but don't go putting your blind faith into any internet stranger too much. Bad things can happen... not to mention all those posers and pure scam artists that run amuck like there.. there was one a couple weeks ago posing to be this well known seedbank operator out of Colorado named Slim who robbed several people over at Overgrow by posting screenshots of older rare packs and selling them to its members. He'd bait people with talks of a preservation run and mention the old packs he had in his collection.. stuff like this happens all the time on the internet. The community as a whole is decent but there's rats in every corner looking to steal your cheddar.

Strainly has great guys on it I'm sure but I wouldn't be spending hundreds of dollars based on a stranger saying that they promise not to steal. That's all I'm saying. If it isn't sealed then no deal. That's my motto when dealing with individuals who aren't seed banks.

I like how that guy on strainly is selling an open and incomplete pack of Black Triangle for 45 + shipping when you could just buy a new, full, legitimate pack from Shoe for 40 + shipping right now without having to worry whether or not you're getting what you paid for.. Also there are tons of Goji & SSDD F2s floating around in the community.

$40 is a really good price. I was shocked when they went to $45 at GLG months ago...and now $40 at Headiegardens. That is just so frigging cheap for seeds from one of the best Cannabis breeders on Earth. Shoe has some great inventory too. My pack of Imperial Majesty is sitting in my PO Box right now. I'm tempted to also grab a pack of Midnight Cowboy.

Yeah, I don't really know what to say to this. This is a cool story and I respect that you don't trust "dudes on the internet" but I don't see the problem here. I'll just let you guys know how the seeds are and keep my mouth shut then.

I see both sides. Yes, tons of scammers. And yes, tons of legit normal folks.
A pack or two, if your not breeding or growing commercially, why not. Especially if it's all headstash/personal.
If your growing to sell, or really need the harvest, maybe just spend the money at a proven seedbank.... thousands of choices of strains to run...
It is alot of time from seed to finish to run something that's not legit.

I just don't wanna see u get burned. Thats why I said anything. I was just trying to let u know from my own experience that it's a really bad feeling spending 4 to 5 months or longer of your time growing something out to have it be something else entirely or some shit bag seed when u spent an exorbitant amount of money.. thats all. Life is short. Plants grow slow.

Oh and I grabbed the Bodhi Midnight Cowboy. Also bought some clonex and root plugs last night on Amazon. @MySundaysBest did u still wanna try that Blackberry Lotus?

Sorry man. I rarely take pics anymore. It all looks like weed unless it is particularly strange. There wasn't anything that was different looking about it. It wasn't the plant I was excited about from the pack. It just came with better effects and the cool flavor. It had alternating leafing and there was a fairly large internodal length between them. Kind of an "airy" look, not compact, but also not floppy. Just a normal looking pot plant. The scent was neither strong nor extraordinary.
I got a couple from the 2nd pack that hinted at the marshmallow flavor, but it was undertones, not primary. The skunky pine was the best for effects from that pack.
I ordered another pack. Fingers fucking crossed I find another killer one. I have the females from 2nd pack available, and 1 male, plus I saved pollen from all the males. So this pack is going to be added with all that for some F2 action.

Sorry to hear that brother, hopefully the next beans you germ take right off!

This is my fear with some older packs I have on hand, so I am trying to prioritize popping those first, and not getting distracted with many other packs that aren't even half as old.

So the Deep Line Alchemy #9 smells and tastes like 1970 imported hashish. Extremely loud and penetrating smell.
Making sure to up the Folgers intake. Very potent and seems to make the “ordinary” very deep and interesting. Only flowered 1 and that was 12/12 from seed. It was smaller than most and buds among the most dense.

Will run again shortly with some vegtime
