So my buds have been growing nicely I can definitely notice swelling between every set of pics but as mentioned about it looks like I may have some root issues. After a bit of gentle digging I can confirm the roots are right at the edge of the container and fairly shallow on the BB I bought a 5 gallon tote that I am planning on transplanting into unless you guys think it will cause too much stress?? I really dont want to hermie this bastard. Ive been nuting alot and it isnt helping so im going to flush here and start again after the transplant anyway here are pics tell me how its going!

First 5 pics are Big Bomb last 3 are White Widow

Plants were transplanted into 5 gallon totes earlier this week and as of tomorrow morning they will be waking up to the 400w hps. The BB has tons of hairs turning red which is kind of worrying me since the plant shouldnt be done for another 3 or 4 weeks are these hairs dying off or is it natural for them to start turning color this early in flower?

If anyone has any insight please let me know

Also since i transplanted into a larger container the yellowing at the bottom seems to have quit progressing. I think Treeonmyhead nailed my problem right on the head so thanks a lot for that!

What a week for the WW, it went from being small with few crystals to swelling up pretty good and having a shit ton of crystals! i wish the pics did it justice. Over all a really good week for the plants temp is staying about 27°c which is a bit high but not as bad as it has been the bigger bins seem to have helped out the leaf problem. The cola buds are a bit smaller than i was hoping for but i attribute that to the fact that i ran the fluoros for so long. I think with the new fan and air cooled hood plus bigger pots and the fact that im figuring out what im doing (more or less) I should be able to pull off a pretty damn good grow next time around. As for this grow im hoping for an oz. per plant and for it to be finished the first week of april so they have some time to dry and get a quick cure before 420 lol.

Anyway here are pics first 3 are Big Bomb last 3 are White Widow

You're welcome :] Glad to be of use. I'm still have that issue with mine, theyre already to far into flower for me to want to transplant so I'm just ride it out. I'm still trying to figure out how i can avoid this problem in the future. I grow from clones, and only have 150w hps. So I have to let them have time to root, but if they veg to long they will be two big for my light. I guess im going to use my 2gallon pots, clone into them, and then put them right into flower at the first sign of growth and see how that does. I still feel like they will get rootbound by the end of flowering, but maybe the extra time with space left will make a big difference.

yeah good call, I wouldnt recommend transplanting in flower, for one the shock will cause your flowering to take a bit longer (just read that in the help section of an old high times) it said that it can add an extra 2 weeks to the flowering time but i dont think that happened in my case since the plants are still showing signs of maturing every week. another thing is that if your plants are sensitive it may cause it to hermi from the stress, and last of all from my own personal experience if you have to tip your plant upside down to get it out of the old pot perlite and soil will fall into your bud sites and get stuck in the resin! lol I've been gently picking out little pieces of perlite and soil from the buds as i see them. Im pretty sure that as the bud grows it pushes the chunks of perlite out since i see new pieces hanging beneath a bud once and a while, but who knows maybe ill be grinding up a bud and find some perlite haha

The plants have been maturing nicely, they stink like crazy but in a good way! I think its pretty clear sailing from here on out unless I really manage to fuck something up haha, tried to get some better close ups but i couldnt get my camera to focus so maybe ill get some better ones next week.

ive noticed that my flowers really to swell starting at week 5 (in a 9-10 weeks strain), and the hairs start to turn around week 7.

keep in mind, they will be pushing out pistils until they die.

i just started my first grow in 3 years with some blue magoo seeds i got from a friend. in earlier days (about 15 years ago) all i used to grow is nirvana seeds, they were cheap and usually all popped open, and i could pick several phenos to pollinate with the few males i got. right now im looking at something to help with my optic nerve and brain pressure/pain. ak48, aurora indica, master kush, ww or blue mystic will be on my list from nirvana soon. i also took a look at bomb seeds as well. good prices.

will be looking forward to u finishing up
