borwn spots and now leaf whitening? new pics

I posted about a week ago for some light yellowing and brown spots. thinking it was lock up or defficient i tried epsom salts got worse so i stopped that and have just been watering with normal water and lowered the ph a bit now the brown spots are still there but one set of leaves has turned white and one is crispy at the tip the new leaves sprouting above and below it are green.
its a femd ww seed ff of soil no nutes
small hps and some cfls.
sorry the lighting messes with the colouring on the pics. any advice?

thanks for the replies, im thinking she also may be root bound so i think ill go pick up some food and transplant her as well. my first time went rather easy so i didnt really expect this. again thanks for the input.

If their in Fox farms Ocean forest, DONT FEED THEM!!! FFOF has "plenty" of nutes in there to bring that plant to muturity (30 days under 24/24 light) They look like you burned the shit out of them, Or your ph is way off and your locking out the N, FLUSH< FLUSH >FLUSH, then maybe give them an 1/8 strenght nute just to give them a kick start after the flushing, wait for thesoil to dry out after the flushing before adding any nutes. I personaly wouldnt add any nutes for the first 30 if your useing FFOF. I use FF any had same problem with my second grow. my third grow i used NO NUTES i the first 30 days, i went rigth to 12/12 and started with 1/8 strenght FF tiger bloom. Everthing is GOOD with that schuled. PS. time to transplant anyway.

thats the thing though, i know ff of has pre packed nutes thats why i dont feed until flowering they have had nothing but normal distilled water and phd well water tap.
so is it over fed or under fed? i didnt have many problems my first grow so i havent run into this even though its the same set up? maybe too much light but i doubt it?

the only food i have right now is for flowering periods, 30-15-30 would a weak mix of this help the n enough or would it overdue it and make it sick from over feeding on the other two?

I would start using weak foliar feedings and if you see that it starts helping then ramp up the foliar feeding a bit. That should buy you some time to and tell you whether it is N deficient. A weak mix of 30-15-30 would work but someone with more knowledge than I would have to do the math on how much you should put in a gallon for foliar use.

You can also search the threads as there are a bunch of good foliar mixes/instructions on the forum. Most of them use micro/veg nutrients.

Good luck

it hasnt been getting better well a little bit. it was rootbound but now its leaves are green but a line all the way around the leaf is dark dark green and dying? primarily towards the middle and top of the plant any ideas? ive grown two plants with this same set up without any of these problems.1226101725-00.jpg1226101724-00.jpg

Bzzzz! Wrong!

This guy is intentionally trying to mislead you with his solution. Some of what he says is true, but most of it is completely wrong.
Despite FFOF being soil, and containing food, some plants need more than others. Your plants are definitely hungry.

I suggest a complete feeding of all nutrients at a higher level. NPK and Ca should be your primary targets if you've already added Magnesium Sulfate without success. I'd stop with the Epsom salt if I were you until you hit maybe week 4 or 5 of flowering. I don't see much evidence of a Potassium deficiency, so a little more N, P, and Ca would probably keep the issue from spreading much.

You also want to be sure the root zone is healthy. If you think it is root bound, having been in this planter for too long (~1wk/L or ~4wk/gal), then a transplant could help the root zone stay healthy. I don't think it looks like the root zone has been healthy enough to begin circling so concentrate on the nutrient fix, maybe with a root supplement, before stressing her out with a new planter.

If you had the money, a little Liquid Karma, Cal-Mag Plus, and Rhizotonic would be a good resolution...

Actually, I had this on a few young plants, those bottles were my resolution :)

Vash They look like they need a nitrogen boost for sure. You say the only fert you have is for flowering 30-15-30. That is a veg nute with a high concentration of nitrogen and lower concentration of phosphorous. You should be good on your nitrogen levels. Here is a breakdown of fertalizer numbers.

The first number is the percentage of nitrogen . So a fert with 24-8-4 has 24 percent total nitrogen. Nitrogen provides plants with the ability to produce more chlorophyll, which in turn allows plants to grow quickly. With each additional nitrogen application, plants will grow taller and develop a darker green color.

The second number in the analysis is the percentage of phosphorus in the mix. For example, a bag of 24-8-4 would contain 8 percent phosphorus. Phosphorous aids in root development and increases flowering ability and bloom size. The fertilizer industry smartly markets high phosphorus fertilizer as “Bloom Booster.” High-phosphorous fertilizer should be used when plants are being established in your garden.

The third number represents the percentage of potassium found in the product. A bag of 24-8-4 has 4 percent potassium in the mix. Potassium has many functions: It guards the plant against diseases and aids in drought protection and cold tolerance. It also serves a role in improving root development and helps in the process of photosynthesis.

I hope this helps.

This is a complicated problem.

You have pre-existing conditions as well.

So there's the earlier deficiency from before.

Now there is some Nutrient burn.

Possibly Potassium Deficiency.

This could be the result of a media that contains an excess amount of Calcium and or Magnesium. Given the recent dose of Epsom Salt it could be that the CEC of the media is off, with the Magnesium impeding the uptake of a similarly charged Potassium. Something is out of balance and that is causing a variety of both toxicity and deficiency.

Just focus on getting things back to normal. Flush the soil. Feed with a really low strength nutrient that has a balance of NPK, Ca and Mg. This will a least reset the media and establish a good balance that you know, rather than having all this mystery about what's in your soil.

It does look like a bunch of different shit though. Probably best to flush and rebuild at this point.

Arent there some kind of testers out there for soil or hydro that tells you the breakdown of all the mineralts, nutrients etc in the soil so you can scientifically make diagnosis based on the numbers????

Who can tell me what the hell these white spots are on the end of my leaves?

IMG00469.jpgIMG00468.jpg

Super lemon haze in week 2 of veg. She is short and thick. The stalk is no shit 3/4 of an inch thick already and the plant is only about 10 inches. Ha Ha.
As I said earlier. The tips of 2 or 3 nodes worth of shutes is white. Looks almost yellowish-white now.
2nd week of veg.
Humboldt nutrients-grow, micro, bloom, prozyme, sea-cal, white widow, flavorful. Following 3/4 strength was humboldt feeding chart calls for.
1000W MH about 32" away from the plant canopy.
temps 72-77 day and 66-68 at night. Humidity is about 35-40% during the day, and 75% for the 5 hours of darkness
Plant has and is making great progress since I put it in Veg and started with nutes. The white/yellowish tips do not seem to bother it at all growing wise, Im just cautious right?
Any other questions of comments are appreciated. Thanks fellas.

You have an element excess going on. I still think it is related to things like Sodium, Calcium, Magnesium, Potassium, or sulfate imbalance.
Run just plain water for a little bit, or flush immediately and feed gently once the soil dries out, stop pampering your plant so much.
I would give her a good run through with some properly balanced water and then wait for her to sort it out.

THIS IS A HYDRO GROW!!!!!!! DWC coffee jug.
I changed the water yesterday because there was a lot of sediment. I topped off with water and ppm is at 650.

Im gonna change the water again tomorrow, but Im gonna start using tap water because of the trace elements. My tap water is 300ppm and PH is high. I started letting a gallon sit yesterday so tomorrow, I'll throw it in.

Do you think I should do a light dose of nutes like 300 instead of none, because the changed in my plant are slow and not severe YET? God I need to snip a few clones off this girl NOW to keep the grow going. Like I said, I bought 20 seeds planning on growing 20 female plants and all but 2 dies.

This is a HYDRO GROW.!!!!!
