try a zip lock baggie, but make sure you open it everyday to switch air otherwise mold will form. sounds like the low humidity is drying you towels out and instead of the seed sapping moisture from the towel the reverse in happening, the air is sapping form the towel and in turn the towel is sapping from the seed.

low humidity is a bitch, also i find seeds germ better in the light, covered obviosly but enough so that the IR hits is and warms it up, there is a difference between thermal and radient heat, seedlings prefer radiant(IR) as a seed and thermal as seedlings.

oddly enough the papertowel is not drying out very much at all, which worries me. I dont understand why. What is your take on soaking the s33d for 24 hours first. I never did that before. The cabinet she is housed in is about 67 degrees.

I just toss them in RO water with a few grains of sea salt, then into a dark cabinet. From there direct to my i/2 size starter cubes, 1/2 size cube as I use hydro and don't want/need much water at that juncture

i personally used to just drop them in water. and had good results but it works best at cool temps, yeah soaking them could help wont hurt and wont start to starve them for oxygen for a t least a few days of being submerged.

i like to seal mine in ziplocks or little containers you can get a the dollar tree, they have different colored lids and are about an 1"x1" in volume. come 12 in a pk cost a 1$ :)

RO water and sea salt? hmm. .how long in the dark cabinet for? I think i screwed my last germ because i used plain R/O water in papertowel method. I have heard because of the lack of minerals its not a good medium to start a seed. Im assuming you adding the salt is the key. NICE!

and what type of water do you use?
So sealing them in ziplocks or little containers its ok to cut off oxygen supply up to 24 hours right? .
And you stick a liittle bit of papertowel in the little dollar tree containers too? just a little bit moist ? checking for tap how often?
this seems like an easy method and great way to keep organized when germin a bunch of seeds... SWEET!! thanks poly.

minerals with R/O is a must. i use store bought spring water or distilled water with a few ml of nute per gal.(probably like 1/20-1/10 of full dose)
the salt thing is something PF does, and he is the master of germination.... i mean he washed and dried my beans lmao. but i dont know enough to advise you there, but brine water has been known to be god for all sorts of organisms in their infantile stages of life.
yep its fine to seal them up for 24 hours. there is not much metabolic action occurring so plenty of air for 24 hours. but you do want to open them(preferably do this all in a clean area) so mold and fungi and Bactria cant get a hold, i like to use the blue shop towels vs. paper towels.

yep it works good i use washable labels 2$ for a 200pk at walmart to label everything. they are long enough to tear in half to label most things and then wash off pots and containers with ease.

i got your rep as soon as i can poly. i never knew about washable lables from walmart. or about brine water. A blue shop towel sounds so much better then nasty ass paper towels. the one i was using for my mataro blue started turing brown at the edges. gotta wonder what the fuck they are making paper towels out of these dayz. i posted a photo my Matar0 Blue thats startin to crack in Mohicans seed thread i see you over at once and a while.
peace out
your a tru mutha fuckin playa

your goofy ambz lol

the blue towels are polyester so sythetic fabric is less prone to contamination. regualr paper is just food for bad things to grow on. and i often wonder how "sterile" recycled paper products are.

id be over there posting more pics if i had a cam. :( i have some cool looking bean and variations that would be awesome to post.

Without brand names it's hard to say. I bought a handful of chinabuye crap, a chunk of which died within 4 months. What I like about Lowes/HD is I can take them back. Wait until you see what one 22w 1600 lumen 5000K is doing for clone vegging
Hello:
This is Jane from chinabuye.
Thanks about your support.
If you need my any help, please tell me directly and I will try my best to solve for you.

2 pics (top cola + rest of plant). I turned off the ufo today to let Phoenix finish under less light. Top cola > 12".

Remaining 3 clones growing nicely now that larger clones were moved upstairs. Will move them to led tent Friday once I harvest Phoenix. These will not get ufo, only household globe leds.

I never cease to amaze myself at my frequent oversights to the obvious (REEFER MADNESS:wall:)

Looking at Phoenix constantly, as my desk is in the same room, and I leave the front flaps partially open (for the circ fan and to watch) it finally occurred to me that the seed branch is the lowest, so I can cut everything above it, which I am about to do.

Here is a pic of the top, which was within 2" of the ufo which caused bleaching

IMG_1531.jpg

Chopped her just above the bottom 4 branches. Due to pruning throughout, very few secondary leafs to trim. Wet weight 120gms, bitches!

Summary:

I have really enjoyed growing this BrandX poly strain. It fit perfectly into my low height tent, but another ft tent height would be welcome (and ordered). I still think if the oils were made into a perfume, it would make some serious (and legal) $$$$$$- intoxicating!

I highly recommend checking out his many intelligently developed strains. Why buy overseas, with the added risks?

I have 5 clones: 3-4 will go in my soon to be here Halo Drip Ring system under HOT5, 1-2 into the led tent upping the bubbler to 3g bucket with 6" net pot lid to increase stability and possibly more nutes for the roots to slurp

Photo Update

Phoenix hanging out to dry + 2 of her 2 biggest clones in my HOT5 tent, and 2 that were light blocked now getting plenty of light in the led tent. Lights are 22w Utilitech RP + EcoSmart NW (looks more like CW) + 17w Philips RP

These will be the final grow for the seaon as it gets too warm here between July- late September. Poly, should I then try to germ the other stain seeds you sent me, or do you have something else you would like to show case?

G13 x (kushxbgmh) took on a very indica smell, deep and coffee like very different from the G. the overall appearance of the plant appears to be of the g13 structure, but it seems to be complete different in every other aspect, flowering very fast as well in comparison.

Purple Bx1 somehow i missed the whole plant pic, very sativa with hollow stems and dark greasy foliage. smell just like the original but larger growing plant. looks to be extremely potent.

got lucky besides being robbed had an unlabeled clone that was just starting to flower that they did not take, just happened to be northern lights about to chop in a week or so a little early but i will just be happy to have some of this killer!
IMG_20130510_210203.jpg
Bluecheese Bx1 very akin to the original, a little more skunky, but on the plus side ive managed to keep that cheese pheno, bubblegum was a good choice for that anyways with is long elongated calyxes that sativa doms have.
