Breeder Suggestions for Next Grow

I just did a search and it seems like there have been a lot of Instagram links posted here in the past, so I guess it's ok to do so.
Fwiw, the most recent posts on this IG feed caught my eye, because I've read some good things about Humboldt Dream by HSC already.
I recently grew out two different blueberry muffins. One had that blueberry smell and the other one had a Berry muffins smell. The blueberry smelling one had more of a indica affect. The Berry muffin smelling one had a two-and-a-half-hour creeper, a nice sativa Indica hybrid. the creeper started 15 minutes after the first Puff. I prefer the creeper.

HSC? How was the growth difficulty and yield? Someone told me that Blueberry Muffins is similar in taste and effect to the classic Blueberry. Not sure if it's true or not.
Yes HSC. I only did the seed run so far. But, the blueberry smelling plant had dense resin coated buds And the berry muffin smelling plant had Bud's that were foxtailing a little with very little resin. I'll be starting the Clone run of these two plants in 3 weeks.

Hey Serverchris, thanks for all that. I've been on Instagram every day lately looking at pics, reading comments and asking questions. You’re right, it’s been really helpful. My grow room is filled with PeakSeedsBC plants based on RIU comments.

Am I allowed to post links to certain instagram posts here, to share some photos? Would that violate any RIU rules?

With so many recommendations back and forth, one thing I thought of last night was to keep things simple and order from Dr. Greenthumb because he's in Canada, his gear is more readily available to me and his reputation is also solid. His Bubba OG and Girl Scout Cookies are well-reviewed and even Ed Rosenthal considers them must-try strains. There are some nice recommendations of indicas, sativas and hybrids on his blog.

The one HSC strain that caught my eye was Humboldt Dream. A handful of growers on IG seem to love it, but I'm actually scared to grow it because it can get huge when planted outdoors. Not very discrete! Their Blueberry Muffin also seems well-liked; it seems to be their most popular strain currently.
If your in no rush glo Seedbank has great prices on csi seeds. Shipped to Canada. But slow shipping.
If you order from greenthumb please don’t send him too much money before you test a pack for germination rates. Don’t say I didn’t warn ya.

I did a lot of reading and asking questions and this is what I've ordered. They're all fems, and a mix between some CSI Humboldt strains and some of the better-reviewed big-Euro strains:
  • CSI Humboldt - Three Queens
  • CSI Humboldt - Purple Urkle s1
  • HSO - Black D.O.G.
  • Dinafem - Blueberry Cookies
  • Dinafem - Strawberry Amnesia
I'm curious to see if I can tell the difference in the quality of the end result between the Euro strains versus CSI, once everything is cured.

They'll be planted into my garden this coming spring, outdoors, right into the ground. The soil is good but I might mix in some Gaia Green 4-4-4 before I begin, as well as some kelp meal and EWC, then add compost and mulch on the top of the soil to keep things as alive and organic as I can.

Hopefully I'll get enough pure fire from this grow to last a while.

The black dog I ran were all 3 tasty as hell. I kept the blackberry pheno but all 3 were tasty berry smoke with a good buzz. Hope you find some dank phenos!

Thanks! There's seems to be a lot of praise for CSI and lots of love/hate towards HSO and Dinafem, so I picked their strains very carefully based on reviews here on RIU.

Stay away from csi, big names but all pollen chucking. If you think your getting seeds from his number one mom and dad your a fool

Been running his packs for three years trying to find a winner and confirm the hype. Have never found a true winner yet, the potency on this gear is what really stands out, horribly weak

which strains did you run?

I had pretty good results from CSI personally

I’ve probably run about 15 of his strains and the only one that was weak was Mendo Purps x Bubblegum

I'm not argue that he's basically a glorified pollen chucker, because when I think of breeders I think of people working lines to create new ones, crossing the Big Name Clones into F1's is really just pollen chucking.

But you don't make any sense, you say he uses big names, but keeps ALLLLLL the seeds from the best parents for himself and homies..... how can he use the big names ( which are clone only) and give us the rubbish.
If you've been doing it for three years, wasting 3 years, with the same guy creating your seeds, then thats completely insane.
Post some pics of these 3 years worth of grows, or else me and everyone else is just assuming you don't know what you're doing, because with the limited experience I have running of one of his chucks, Headband x Triangle Kush, 1 seed didn't germinate, and of the 6 none were garbage, 1 is pretty standout l, and 2 more that have been quiet good.

agreed but he's more of a preservationist than anything, and I think that work is necessary and noble.

My dad and I are slowly transitioning all our gear to Native Sun Genetics/Cartier Crops. He finally started dropping some pretty hot fem strains. Kinda tired of messing with regs since we're not breeding (yet).

Also running a couple Humboldt Seed Co beans, and a couple chucks/testers, Meat Breath(OGKB) x Sherb Breath. Fingers crossed for some weird shit
