Breeding help

Totally fine to chuck some pollen. Crack some beans, veg them out until you can get cuttings, make sure and label everything, let all the males and females go into flower in an area separate from any other flower grows. Observe the results, cull any plants that don't meet your selection criteria, keep or cull labeled clones. Work with select clones further. Make sure you finish those seeds, let them go a few weeks longer. Also let them dry out thoroughly. Enjoy your F2's.

I just made a new seedsman order.

Ordered 10 regular sugar haze seeds.

I want to grow some males and females to have more seeds and begin breeding in the future I'm totally new to breeding and crossing strains but im very interested.

Just looking for some advice on getting started from someone who's done it before TIA! :bigjoint:
Get some IBL and landrace seeds. ACE has a ton of stuff to start with and The Real Seed Company has landraces from all over. If you want to breed your own strain then start as pure as you can and avoid other people's hybrids. Cross a sativa with an indica and make your own hybrid.

I'd look at acquiring genetics from Africa, Southeast Asia, Central and South America, India, Pakistan, Afghanistan, etc... They may not be common and not what most people grow but you can get the genetics and then you'll have the building blocks that are the foundation of almost every strain that's available.

Have fun. I am. :weed:

lve heard that using a landrace strain as backbone to breeding works best. Like an Afghanni of durban poison. Like xtsho said.
That's basically where I started. Durban and Pakistani Chitral Kush. I'm still working on that one and will be popping the F6 batch towards the end of the summer. But I've also branched off of that and incorporated other genetics and have a dozen or so other influences in some seed batches. Haven't had the time to grow any out as I make them much faster than I can grow them.

Pretty advanced stuff in that thread but good stuff. My tip is LABEL EVERYTHING!! Make your own system if you have to but label and track everything. Breeding requires months and months and then more months of work, so you need to know what that plant, seed, or clone in front of you links back to.
Good advise, ld follow it. Will be doing that from now on.

Well... I see I should've done more research before making an order, I didn't know you could get anything anymore that was close to being just "regular ole weed"

Wish I'd have known before hand. I really would've liked to have done that instead, oh well I guess ill just wait until I grow these up, and start next year.

I really really appreciate that friend!
