I was moving my plants to there new home and I dropped one of them. and the root got cut in half! I was just wondering is this plant still usable or should I chuck it. Its only about 1 1/2 inches tall. and its an extra

It depends on how much was cut off , how big it was, I think it'll probably be fine if you take care of it. There is a possibility of the plant going into shock but I think it could easily recover.

You will probably be fine, but there are two ways to look at this....

1. Some say that newer plants are more able to heal themselves since they're in a hyper growing period.

2. Some say that newer plants are more fragile, so little injuries can ruin the plant.

For me, I would go with #1. I think if you put the plant in the growing medium and just continue as planned, things will probably be okay. And if not, you said it's an extra anyway, so who the heck cares?

I've banged up a bunch of plants and most of the time they make it. Yours probably will too. But don't wait on the boards to try something out. Just try something out because time is of the essence!
