Brother got trafficking of LSD charge even though it was 25i

So basically monday night cops came busting into the hotel room my brother was staying at with some friends (right now it looks like he was set up) and on top of the 35 grams of pot they busted him with he also had 120 hits of 25i. Now the problem is...since 25i blotters look just like lsd blotters...the cops arrested him under trafficking of a drug he wasnt actually in possession with and ended up with a 50k secured bond. Now we're hoping that SBI does what they are supposed to and tests the blotters to prove its not LSD so they will drop the 2 LSD related charges he's facing right now.

This is basically a warning to anyone out there that messes around with the still unscheduled designer drugs out there. Cops will assume its worse case scenario until you prove otherwise...and the end results could be horrible.

Probably not much difference...still going to be a controlled substance ...sucks either way....when I use to slang sheets I always grab unperforated books n write on them...like dates,or times or other BS...could never tell it was acid until u ate one.

I am so sorry. I am also pretty sure you know that your brother needs to lawyer up. More than an ounce of pot and a designer hallucinogen (https://www.erowid.org/chemicals/2ci_nbome/2ci_nbome.shtml), is a world of trouble. Make sure he gets a VERY good, private, defense attorney who will work for him.

I half-remember a case where someone was selling powdered sugar as coke. He was convicted for the drug charge even though no drug was involved. cn

They look at it the same as cops selling Oregano back in the day as pot. People tried the defense they didn't actually purchase Marijuana. DA's made the point on the intent of illicit drug purchase.
