Brown Seeds vs Green/White

I've collected a few bagseeds that i'm going to attempt to germinate and i noticed that there were a couple different kinds of seeds(obvious since they came from different bags/strains but i dont remember which came from where). there were random patterns on some(zebra stripes) but i think they are more like the brown seeds than the green ones. Does anyone know if there is a difference between the seeds? e.g how easy they are to germinate compared to each other or potential outcome of them?

Green/white ones arnt ripe. The more brown the better. A lot of people also like to use seeds that sink.

all my dark seeds float unless i push them into the water. all to this date germed within 1-3 days

Thats why i said a lot of people. I myself just use the paper towel method.

can you germ seeds straight off the plant?

nope they have to dry and shit for a few weeks/months
