BT and Neem Oil

So I have a question I’ve been wondering about. So I normally spray with Neem oil&Soap one day and then spray with BT about 2to3 days later. I started to wonder, am I spraying the Neem oil right off the plant by spraying BT 2 days after? I kind of assumed that was the case so what I’ve been doing is mixing my Neem&Soap mix and then adding a tablespoon of BT and spraying. Is that ok to mix them both or should I not be doing that?

You should not be using neem oil at all during flower. What insects are you trying to kill?

I stop the neem as soon as flowers start to form and the BT I do spray about 4 weeks into flower. I know that’s a bit late but once buds are really starting to take shape I stop. And even then, by the end of flower those damn catapillers will be starting to show themselves.
I was just asking for future reference. I started to do that this year and just wondering if I’ve been wasting or or harming some way

I've been using Azamax instead of neem oil for the past couple of seasons, but I do mix BT and Azamax/Neem into the same application. I stop after the flower stretch, when buds start forming.

Right on My plan for next year is to begin prep on my soil before there's even a plant in it. I will have to do the research on exactly what I will use this winter, but I operate on a budget so it's not going to be some high $$ stuff. In all likelihood it will be Southern Ag Garden Friendly Fungicide and BT both used as a soil drench before planting, and then like monthly during veg. The idea being the bacteria in these things will be taken up into the plants tissues, making it significantly more difficult for the worms, bud rot, PM etc. to get started and established.

I have read that if you provide the soil and the plant with a good bacterial/microbial supply, like in the case of bud rot, it's not so much that these things kill it, it's just that they were there first and thriving, colonized, and using up all the resources bud rot, PM and the like need, so that even if they do manage to get a start it is difficult for it to get very far.

Only other thing I can think to add would be that when I get neem I make sure I'm getting 100% and not some diluted crap, I like to be in charge of dilution and tend to make up my neem and BT both a bit hotter than the directions call for.

Are you spraying as a preventative or are you finding bugs? I don’t spray at all unless I see an issue. If you mix your own soil, try mixing in neem seed meal, I’ve used it in my mix and compost tea for the last two years and have had zero issues.
Read up on living soil, that’s what I’ve done and it grows very strong healthy plants! Then the next thing is make sure you have good genetics.

I use Monterrey BT sprayed on the plants to control caterpillars, and I use Mosquito Bits sprinkled on the soil to control fungus gnats.

I use Bits from the local farm store. It adds a step because I have to drop some in the foot of an old panty hose and soak them, aside from that all the same. To me anyway.
