Bubble bags. Hash makers question

I'm looking to get some bubble bags and try my hand at hash. I have a ton of popcorn from outdoor this year and I'm getting tired of butter.

What kind of bags are everyone using?

Full mesh, or just mesh bottom?

Are 8 bags necessary, or can I go 5?

For mixing I have a cordless drill and a paint mixer bit, is this too agressive?

Any insight is welcome. Feel free to answer questions I didn't ask

I use an 8 bag, 5 gallon bottom mesh set-up. I like the various grades you get with 8 bags, but that’s a personal choice. I normally toss or give away the first two bags products.
Can someone show me an 8 bag a what you guys are doing in concept . I never heard of said method

5 will work fine you just won't have the same selection.
I've a 9 bag set up (Payload) 25/220 micron, canvas and mesh type they're ideal for the price.

A drill or mixing paddle is ideal for agitating the ice water imo.

Depending on the quality of the trim/bud dry sift might be a better option, there's 0 loss of terps it's concentrated bud flavour.
It's also a breeze to make for £5

That would be my 1st choice it's par excellence!
Any hash makers will tell you some terps are water soluble with sift there's 0 terp losses.

there are many 8 bag set ups available, depending on how often they’re used they last several years, store them carefully and the rubber coating won’t crack. I like them because most of the 120 to 45 micron yield is full melt, which is what you’ve after. If you use a drill to mix, go easy, if you mix it too vigorously you’ll get a lot of green matter, which degrades the final product. It should come out a light brown/beige color. You can run the same batch at least twice, the second run will get you 50-75% of the first run. Never got much from a third run.

For anyone using a drill and paddle set up, you can cut the bottom out a (same as) bucket and sit it inside your mixing bucket to protect the bag.

So, a bucket without a bottom inside your bucket over the bags, im pretty stoned does that even make sense.

Quality bags are important imo. I splurged with Boldt 1 gallon bags which were still expensive, the full mesh even more. Like Star Dog, i dont use a lot of bags so I was able to save some cash. I found I really only collected @120 @70 @35 or 40 cant remember exactly.
I also use a $70 walmart RV "washing machine" which was worth every penny. Highly recommend if you're washing a lot of bud.

5 or 8/9 is the number of bags in the set.
My one's for example has 9 bags starting at 25 micron and going up to 220 micron.
Each size bag gives you a different grade or quality of hash, yes basically just fine filters.
