Bubble Hash from a Mostly Sativa plant?

Anyone made hash from a sativa plant? Not like c99 sativa, but like a 12-16 week, growing through the ceiling, spear cola Sativa?

Sugar leaves on most Sativa are not so useful. But spindly low down buds... say about 3-4 oz of them. Bubble Bags using 220 micron (work bag), 160 (kief grade), and 25 (good stuff). That 25 micron bag will take a loooong time to drain. Patience pays though.

Seeing as even a stoned to the bone indica produces some pretty cerebral hash... thinking a sativa would be interesting.


ALSO... read a HT article recently that said to use wet sugar leaves. not dry. What do you think? Are you using wet, dry, both? Notice a difference.? I understand the reasoning. Wet leaves make for less plant matter breaking down and making it through the screen and making your product less pure.

i was under the impression that when you make hash with the bubble bags essentially your collecting all the trichomes on the leaves/bugs when you trim. so if no trichomes i would say little hash, im sure you will get some but the yeild may not be worth the work..

at least that would bemy Hypothesis

hmm.. I used dry .. as I also used some low pop corn buds aso.

if it was me I would make KIF .. stavia KIF is awesome .. or attest on the buds then trow it all in the bags and make hash ..

Ooh well let us know how it turns out .. I like to experiment myself .. tho I mostly make oil .. as its easy to make just enough for a smoke or two at the time with out blowing the house up

Well yeah... 3-4 oz of buds is what i was saying. Just not using the primo buds. Instead, using the fluffy buds. The leaves are sort of useless with Sativas because they hold little trichs. At least that is the case with these ones.

I personally prefer dry sieved hash over bubble hash. The taste, the burn and the high. When jaring up the goods, just after dry, lay it all out on a really clean table while getting it into the jars.. Afterwords, lightly scrape up the leaves, then take a card to the table for the trichs... we call it "table hash". Actually prefer it over the bubble.

I just need to get a little setup for dry sieved. Have used a little screen printing screen from a hobby store. But that was a while ago. Maybe should get one of those drums... i think they produce them in Holland.

The sativa bubble appears to have worked. Will know more in a week or two.

I'll probably need a couple xanax for this. haha.

also agree that both taste and the way it burns is to prefer ..

but mostly I like the high ..

I get more tired and sleepy from the bubble hash ..
and no matter how moch I smoke I never get to the same high .. just more and more tired ..

tho I do get some nice pollen Marroc or Kashmir hash now and then from my local pusher .. light/golden color hash .. really soft and sticky .. that come close to KIF .. I recon its from stavia plants wile the more dark hash come from indices ? or just made in diffrent ways ..

Ooh yea and remember to use some dry ice or attest keep it in the freezer for 24 hours before you shake it .. make the tricomes break off more easily

I use fresh leaf, freeze it straight off the plant and do bubble hash the cheap homemade way. Takes a while but I enjoy the process. Fresh tastes better but i find it takes more agitation or more washes to get everything, when dry the trichs come off alot easier. I like to do a gentle wash to get the real sticky "blonde" stuff which is extremely tasty and potent, then go hard on the rest and get some blacker drier stuff which is still good shite.
What do you guys consider kiff or keif? We think of it as the "shake" from a bag of buds, not the fallen thichs but the leafy dry crap nobody wants lol.
But you guys seem to like it and I googled it and got some bubble hash looking pics so obviously its considered different things in different countries

I consider kief to be a lower purity dry sieved hash, not pressed.
Like what you end up with on the screen of a herbal grinder, or in a kief box.

Yeah, i thought maybe it was just me. Some friends love the bubble, but I totally love the dry. The high is the real deal. I'm going to look into a good method for making dry hash. Usually have 3-4 oz of trim and lower buds.

The bubble that was just made from that 4oz of sativa buds came out more red/brown than any other batch of bubble have made. We'll see how it comes out.
