Bubble hash help please.

Ok I fucked up bad.
Here is a little back story. I got around 20g of hash from my friend at the beginning of the month, then I got about 20g more in the middle of the month. I cut up my hash in to 1g cubes and put in a small mason jar. So now I have 2 small mason jars with about 20g each of bubble hash. Well we just finished our first jar last night, I go to get the other jar out of the closet and the cubes are fucking covered with mold. Bright white mold. I never even thought to burp my jar. So is there any saving this? My husband is going to lose his shit. :wall:

Wow...sorry to hear this...from what I understand, the mold spores travel and contaminate everthing when in a jar like that...when bud molds like that it is best to just throw it out...but the hash is so much more condenced, you may be able to cut off the mold... if the chunks are completely covered then it may be a loss...that stuff is real bad for you ...hopefully someone will know more and maybe you can save it...good luck

the hash wasn't completely dry, don't blame yourself, blame the geek who made it.
he probably pressed it too hard after the extraction, this will make the hash retain water
for a LONG time unless you throw it in a grinder and let it air dray for at least two days.
if you live in a high humidity environment, you should keep hash in the freezer.

Nope its my own fault. My friend made up the batch just so I could have something to smoke on. If it wasn't for him I would not have anything ever, and he makes killer hash. I knew it was not completely dry, for some reason I did not think it mattered. I have never heard of hash molding before so I never even gave it a second thought. Oh well looks like I learned a $250 lesson today. I am just so pissed because we made sure to buy enough to last until Christmas, and I screwed that up. And I cant get any more until after the holidays, because I gotta do holiday shopping! I HATE being sober for the holidays very depressing. Ok rant over. Thanks for the help guys.

I can't begin to tell you how much hash I've made in my lifetime.
But yeah, my first couple of batches had some mold on it after time.
I just took a straight razor and sliced off the mold.

Making hash is'nt an exact science, it takes lots of practice.
I wouldn't blame the seller though.
There has been times when I've purchased wet weed.
I would think that it would of been my fault if I just took the weed
and tossed in a bag without fully drying it.
The same goes for your hash.

I would tell your seller what happened, maybe they'll have a kind heart
and give you a discount on your next purchase.

Try to become friends with a grower who doesn't know how to make hash.
Make a deal with them, that you'll take their trim and turn into gold.
At least that's what I did.
