Bubblicious - Day 38 - Pre Flowers but bud sited all under canopy + pics - Advice???

Ok my 2 bubbs plants look ready to flower, they are 11inch tall and 16inch in span after spending most of life 1 foot away from a 400w hps, they have hardly grown upwards since week 2. I noticed 2 preflowers on my bigger plant this morning (female) but all 8 bud sited (except top) are under the canopy so arnt getting much light at all.

I'm thinking of putting them on 12/12 today, should i look to trim the canopy down to allow light in, could i stretch the plant a little to open it up or should i just leave it alone and let it stretch when it flowers.

Sorry you cant see the preflowers in the pics, the camera isnt good enough and the leaves get in the way.

What are you feeding them? They are looking a wee bit over nuted. I would just let them stretch during flower, or if you wanna veg them for a bit longer you can always place the light up higher and let it stretch that way as well. Other then that nice work.

bubblicious is a small plant think2toke, by nature its supposed to grow to a foot before flower. They have been fed twice with babybio and once with molasses since they were planted, the shabby look on the leaves is due to poor drainage in the old pots.

sod it, 12/12 from now on, just gona leave em n see what happens.

Wrong, Bubblicious is not a small plant, its standard hybrid... like white widow.

Fair play mate, it was advertised as a short indoor plant, thats why i bought it as when i started my grow i had height issues. It was sold as 1 ft groth in veg approx 3 ft at end of flower....

my lights are only 15inch away from the plants tho, possibly why i dont have much vertical growth, might move light away slightly and let it veg some more.

Nice plants btw, this is my first grow so i'm still finding my way so hopefully over time i'll get somthing like what your growing...

well 400HPS should be fine mate...:P what nutes you use and what kind of soil? did you mixed your soil? or did you bought some? if do whats the pH of the soil and how close you hold your light?

for the nutes i'm using baby bio, 10 - 4.4 - 1.6 (not ideal i know) added to diluted molasses to make up the k, to be fair ive been quite easy on the nutes because i'm new to this and burnt them when they were seedlings.

the light is about 12-15 inch away, the soil is pre mixed peat potting compost but i added extra perlite (roughly 1/6 perlite), i transplanted into this because its what i stated the grow in and i didnt wana shock the plants.

On the Ph front, i'm not really sure as i dont have anything to test it, that and better suted nuted are next on the shopping list but i need atlease one harvest to stop me spending all my money on weed. Money is short so i'm doing the best with what i can and adding to it as i go.
