beautiful saint! the k trains will love the light
thanks hooked! here's some of tonight's close ups. never can quite get the white balance right in the tent. these are beautiful plants. they totally need a nice 10 gallon container but for being so pot bound in the 3 gallon they have done really well.

cheers!

i think they are almost done. kinda hard to tell from the pix but to me the trics look mostly cloudy with some amber about. i'm on week 11 flower so it's been a while. i'll probably take them down this week. nice plants....i'm glad i had a good experience with a greenhouse seeds strain.

so they have been drying for about 2 weeks now. i had them in the dark basement with alot of air flow and fairly low humidity and temps in the 70's. they smelled like weed when i chopped them and then they smelled like hay alfalfa for several days and now they are pretty dry and not smelling so much. i moved them to the upstairs closet. it's much warmer up here and very dry. i'll give them a couple of days and then they are getting groomed and going in the jars.

i have no clue if i cure things correctly and i have no clue if i should groom all the extra leaf off before i hang them right after harvest. since i'm not a cash cropper and grow just for myself and gift it to my friends i guess it doesn't matter too much.

the narkush smell exceptionally nice right now. kind of spicy and hashy.

:weed:

damn ST!!! you never fail to amaze me! those plants look sick

the k-trains cut now too???

and ill give u some drying tips,

hang dry the buds for 2-5 days, til the outside feels about dry, rip the bud open and see how damp the inside is

then throw them in a shoe box with a bunch of holes in it for air flow, keep them there till the inside of the buds are nice

then jar em, make sure u burp them atleast twice a day (burp means open the lid for air flow)

Cut 'em down just now. 12 weeks flower. Took some natural sun light pics. In a couple of these you can see the "trainwreck" genetics where the stems are spindly with heavy buds laying over in different directions. They smell great. :hump:

This grow is finally done!

did the big trim job today. man i just have 5 small plants, i don't know how a cash cropper grooms a big room of them. and i still can't figure out why my pictures upload out of sequence. pic 12 is the skinny narkush... i love that long thin bud.

yield wasn't that great, but that's fine with me. none of these buds are very dense except for maybe the tall skinny narkush. i'm not sure if that's due simply to genetics or if they wanted bigger containers and more watts of light or what....

i got a nice big bowl of sticky trim. i'm going to try dry sieving it and make a little hash. bubblebags makes a set of dry sieves now that i ordered a few days ago.

hello! manicured the k-trains and put them in the jar tonight. wow these were so easy to manicure. took no time at all and i did 99% of it with my fingers. they smell great - kind of grapefruity. put them both in my new walmart 2 gallon jar, less than 10 bucks! perfect. it doesn't have a gasket so i can't store them in it but it will work nicely for curing.

i got my new bubblebags dry screens as you can see in the pictures. they come with a black acrylic collection plate too. haven't tried them yet. i'm going to take that bowl of various shake and scrap and do a test run. maybe i'll get a few hits worth out of it. have to say i was a bit disappointing when the screens showed up. most of the frame joints had separated during shipping and i had to clamp and glue them, plus they don't really "nest" as nicely as i had hoped. they will work but i doubt if i'd buy them again.

ha ha ha....maybe i should start a new thread: cheap pollen presses. i saw this one on one of the forums and ordered it. i've been goofing around with it for hours. added a couple of hose washers and a couple of quarters and a susan b anthony dollar fits super tight in the bottom.

you can see my sharpstone cheap ass aluminum pollen press next to it. i hate that thing.

i have no idea if this $15 chef'n garlic machine will work worth a crap but it's fun to experiment. i'll be back after i press some resin!

switched gears to the makin's clay extruder. this was some old bubble bag resin that filled up that test tube. i was hoping the dimes would make an impression like on the other threads i've seen but no luck. i managed to get it nice and tight by heating it up with a hairdryer and turning the crank a tiny bit, repeat over and over. i had to use the vice grips to unscrew it. cheap little unit but if careful i think it's fine.

here's the garlic press. ha ha ha..

this thing is plastic and has a much larger bore diameter than the previous clay extruder. the plunger seems to be flexible plastic and i wish it was more rigid. perhaps i can find a metal bolt with the same thread profile. since this is plastic i'm not sure how to heat it without it melting. i don't want to drop it in hot water because i don't want to add any moisture to it. so i'm just cranking the handle a tiny bit every 10 minutes or so. i guess i could throw it in the microwave for 15 seconds...

more pics when i pop the wafer out!
