Bud rot and Early Harvest

So this is my second season of growing cannabis, I have a few auto-flowers (Auto-bomb, and Auto#1) and some Afghan Kush. My Auto-bomb was started in July and my Auto#1 started in Aug. So I was about 1-2 weeks away from my optimal harvest time for my July Autos, and we get a pile of shitty rain. So I noticed today a good case of bud rot, after dealing with this stuff last year I decided the best way is to harvest early before it eats anymore. Luckily the buds were only a little premature and I only lost a couple grams. At the same time I feel rough since I could have made some buds swell a fair bit bigger if I had some more time. At the end of my clipping and hanging I still had to feel a bit happy. Its hard not to smile when your looking at a wall of hung fresh bud :)

Yeah that hanging dope is from 5 plants in total but about 75% is from one plant. I tried several different methods and areas for growing auto flowers and found that topping or fimming, plus low stress training, in pots instead of ground is ideal. I ranged from about 2 grams on one spindly little plant to like I said about 75% of whats hanging in that picture. I still have 3 other autos that I am using my topping,LST and pots so Im hoping to get some decent yields in Oct from them, plus my one regular plant that is early into flowering. All in all I'm hoping to have enough smoke until next year. I smoke every day but not crazy amounts about a joint or two is normal, except for holidays or special occasions, then I can go through a fair bit :)
