Buds never have strong terpene smells.

Don’t get me wrong. My buds smell like pot. And often strong pot. But I just got a bag of street papaya for shits and giggles and this stuff has strong....papaya smell. I’m wondering if my dry/cure may not be on point. I typically hang limbs in pretty dry conditions. Maybe 45-50% humidity for 4-5 days then trim and jar but feel I could do something to get the smells out better.

Next time set a couple buds on your night stand and don't touch them for 3 weeks and see how they compare to your jarred weed. It's a fun experiment.

You jarred after five days which is too early.

The guy who grew the papaya wasnt a member on a canna site and hence didnt follow methods that lead to bud with still moisture to release being jarred. Hell he probably didnt even jar it just dried long enough and sold it.

Curing won't make it smell more, rather it will make it smell less.

You smell weed because terpenes are evaporating. When you chop it, thats the strongest it's gonna ever smell. As time passes, terpenes evaporate. Since the plant is no longer producing terpenes the quantity is finite and once evaporated it's gone.

they grow elite proven cuts, makes 50 %of the work. this papaya is probably 1 plant selected among 1000
dont make your plants fade in the end. thats what kills your phenotype aroma. water last weeks with plain water if you like it ( i like it) but chop before having these yellowing from the top/red stems

Plant still has a decent amount of time left to go, maybe it gets smelly later in flower, or it’s boofcrete....no se
