Another spring is upon us. Going to get the thread going this year. Have already gotten off to an earlier start than last year. all beds tilled and seeds started at least 3 weeks earlier. Its a long season and things wont really get exiting for another month but I love keeping track of my grows and sharing with my fellow growers.

feel free to comment or question, and GET OUT AND GROW!!!!

got about 20 seeds sprouted outside, mostly good bud from a pal, and some from last years mishap with the accidental pollination. has been beautiful weather the last week.

Been Plenty of sunshine the last week. about to get some much needed rain. getting sick of watering with a can. All of my seeds have sprouted so far (1 dud, not too bad). actually i germd and planted 3 more well after the other ones sprouted to see if they would catch up quickly or if the early start makes a big difference. Probly wont have pics untill they are brought out to the forest. Really want to let them get as big as possible so they have a fighting chance out there. Will be debuting my bottomless pots on top of some beds to act as raised beds. hopefully it gives a nice boost to the root systems. and a few inches closer to the sun.

Yes we got some rain finally, Also adopted some neglected plants from a friend. 6 plants in 2 pots (yes 3 in each) and they are getting well over a foot tall. split up the 1st pot and planted. Im expecting some sort of shock because I had to cut them apart, but the main rootball should be good. If the work out they will be miles ahead of the seedlings I have. they don't look so good now but they are from good genetics (clones not seedlings). one is already looking like shit but we'll see how it goes.5-12-13 005.jpg5-12-13 006.jpg5-11-13 004.jpgPics of the orphans and some of the seedlings.... I don't know why but the enter button doesn't seem to be working. wtf!... and the 2nd pot of 3 does look healthier than these ones. hopefully will plant those soon too.

Lookin good bud, is it humid where you are? I am curious to see how things go since we are in the same general area. I've got a few out to that look to be about a wk behind your ones from seed. What did you use for soil and nutes? Good luck and I will be following along.

sup burner, thanks for stopping by. Yea I would say im in a Pretty humid area. when I first made these beds I used Miracle grow organic and amended it using bone meal, lime , perlite, peatmoss. But this year I splurged and just bought roots organic from the grow shop. The plants seem to like it a lot better than the mixes I used to make (I think its the shitload of perlite they use, carrying a bag is really easy) . As far as nutes Its just been gro big I can only carry 5 gallons at a time so I try to rely on the rain for water and feed in somewhat of a schedual. when flowering starts I have the tigerbloom. I like to use both for a while and slowly transition to all t-bloom.

thanks a lot puck, yea I really risked it putting them out early but I really had no place to put them at the time. seems to have paid off. And the bottomless pots are out of necessity, I cant dig down more than 2 ft without hitting a giant rock. not very good place for gardens. and the rootsorganic soil is also a plus. all of the pots where filled with that and they seem to be doing grrreat.

LOL this is where your planting "in the ground" will really benefit. I've been f'ing lugging water!

Yes it helps so much. Ive got potted ones that I need to water every other day already. its not too cool having to keep up with that. these babys I worry about getting water+nutes every 7-10 days or so. Even last year with the drought I went way too long without watering and they just stopped growing rather than shrivel and die. Its nice to have that backup water in the earth.
