Needed extra soil for a single pot so I bought some cheap soil today from my local Menards. These bugs were everywhere. Almost added it to my tent before I noticed them.
(Burpees organic potting mix)
Literally just bought the soil today and noticed upwards of 10 of them burrowing through the soil as I was prepping the pots. Are they affecting your plants in anyway?
Diatomaceous Earth is great of sprinkling on the top layer of soil to combat pests that do such as: thrips, aphids, gnats etc.
Hopefully that’s not a destructive critter.
Thanks! While searching I came up with that same conclusion as well but wasn't certain.Looks like ground beetles - good guys that eat aphids , caterpillars and other shit.
