Bug Problem Prevention???

Some Background: I live in New England. I'm planning to start a grow, but I'm creating a checklist so I can know how much I will be spending in advance. It will be an outdoor grow. This is going to be my second attempt at a grow. (last grow was fail) I've been reading mad, and absorbing everything I can before I actually execute the plan.

The Question: I want some type of easy prevention system to keep away bugs and animals away from my grow ground. How would I go about doing that:?:

ok for the insects i use

Organocide is an organic insecticide and fungicide that works on 25 common pest insects, and 4 problem diseases for plants. Controls pests such as mites, whiteflies, aphids, etc. Also stops fungal diseases like powdery mildew, and for the animals u have to make a cage im not sure what kind of arae u live in but im in the woods and its the only way i make them out of this stuff that looks like fence but it is make to renfoce cement then wrap chicken wire around the bottom for the small critters

diatom dust works well for crawling insects(I have a problem with ants) but will work as well for any other crawling insect. If an insect crosses the dust it will soon die.

This is the description I found online...Natural Animal Diatom Dust Insect Powder

Kills Crawling Insects Non-Toxic Use Inside or Outside

By removing their outer waxy covering, Diatom Dust kills insects mechanically, causing dehydration. Insects cannot become immune to this long lasting, odorless, non-staining powder.

100 % diatomaceous earth

A dust made from the outer shells of tiny, one celled sea plants called diatoms. Deposits of these shells (diatomaceous earth) are quarried, finely ground and sifted. Diatom powder kills insects mechanically by removing their outer waxy covering. Insects cannot become immune to this long lasting, odorless, non-staining, non-toxic powder.
