"Bugs" hoping around on the floor

I noticed these little bugs hoping around on the floor of my garage awhile back. The big ones are about the size of a flea (but long, relatively flat, and skinny) and the babies are noticeably smaller, but still visible to the naked eye.

Well, they were only on the floor (in my grow room/garage) and they were there prior to my plants being in there, so I didn't stress it too much. I sprayed and then moved ahead with my grow room.

All seemed fine, but I just trimmed my first bud and these little bastards started jumping/falling out of it. Not by the hundreds or anything, but a few of them were definitely in there.

The buds seem to be fine and so does everything else in the grow room, but having bugs can never be a good thing. Especially if I don't even know what the hell these things are.

Any ideas? I've searched this site and the net, but haven't seen anything that looks like them yet.

They hop around and are quite good at avoiding my attempts to squash them, but they don't hop all that far. The little ones can jump maybe an inch or two and the big ones maybe 2 or 3 times that, but that's it.

BTW - I just put a couple of hot shot strips out there, but not sure how long I can leave them in there without damaging my crop?? Most of all, I'd like to know what the hell I am dealing with here.

BTW II - I am growing in water (DWC)

BTW III - I am supplementing with CO2. Is there any truth to being able to kill pests by turning the CO2 up to 2,500 PPM++? If so, how long would I have to do it and how long would be too long for my plants?

thank you

but unfortunately, the culprits in my garden are on neither side of that list.

I see that preying mantis is on the good list though and i have loads of them running wild around here. maybe i should catch a few and throw them in my room. i just worry that they will eat my plants if they get too hungry
