Ok this is my first time growing and everything is going great so far. The only thing im worried about is i had to move my plants to some woods. They're in 3 gallon pots and they are sitting in this circle made of bricks where sun can shine straight down from the top and no plants grown directly around them. I was going to get something prolly urine from a hunting shop to keep deer and what not away(any user experience with other stuff would be helpful and appreciated). The thing im worried about currently are bugs eating my plants and that white mildew that grows on the leaves. There have always been a few leaves munched on since ive started but i wasnt to worried about it cuz it wasnt severe but now that they're in the thicket of the woods im scared im going to show up and find that my babies been reduced to nothing! We had a warm winter so bugs are very bad this year. Also i live in northern Ohio where it gets very humid and my leaves get that white powdery mildew stuff. My babies are still in veg state and should begin flowering soon (in the next month or so) so i was wondering is there something i can get for mildew and bugs that wont harm or affect them in anyway? TY. Also i can post pics if that would help any.

Mildew, not sure. I need a good mildew fighter myself.
I treat my Crepe Myrtles for powdery mildew with Bayer 3 in 1. It does an alright job.

Bugs, Imid. If you are still in veg growth it will be fine. Bayer tree and shrub will work. Just mix it up at max strength and give the plant one watering. It will be systemically protected long enough that even if you do get an infestation the plant will finish before anything devastating will happen.

Deer, fencing. If you are in a rural area, human urine does work. If you are in an area where deer are used to people it will not.

When i did outdoor, i kept a jug under my sink. I collected my nastiest yellow first piss, every morning and applied around the garden at every visit. gross, haha. It was about a 2 mile hike, it totally came open in my backpack once. This place was covered in deer. I went deer hunting there every year. Never had deer touch any of the plants, no fences, just urine. You can dump it out on the ground, or fill a bottle and bury the bottle deep enough that just the top sticks out.

BTW, someone will most likely come along and say Imid is a terrible chemical. The truth is that it is safe. You eat produce treated with imid all the time. Imid is the ingredient in Advantage, the flea treatment for cats and dogs. it is very effective.
