Burnt plant head

One of my plants might be flowering, not to sure, but my light (cfl: 11w) was about .5 inches away from the head/top of the plant. I left the light on all day to find a burnt or dried leaf and a couple buds. Can my plant recover? I know your not supposed to leave the light that close, but the plant is not to tall for my setup and i have been to busy to modify.

I am wondering if I should just keep it growing so it can recover those parts of the plant... or is it to late?

This is difficult. Usually when you have buds the plant is flowering... but then this begs the question... why would there only be one of your plants acting like this?

If it is a burnt bud, and the plant is actually flowering I would suggest pulling off the burnt area.

But I need more information from you before pressing ahead with this advice.
