This journal will take you through my first grow from start to finish. I have just ordered Barney's Farm LSD which will be the first of what is hopefully many strains to come. The plans for my cab I have gone over about a hundred times so I am confident that my first grow can proceed with minimum problems. This week I will be getting the supplies for the grow and building my veg and flower cabinets

Veg Cab:
1'x1'x2'
~200W CFL
Computer Fan Ventilation

Flower Cab:
30"x24"x42"
~240 W CFL which will be upgraded to 400W HPS
Hempy Bucket SOG Perpetual
Stanley fan will be modded to be used to as a inline fan. Question: Does anyone think that I should make a cool tube with seperate intake and outtakes, or is the stanley for then acceptable to cool the cab. It is rated at 235 CFM
DIY Carbon filter will be used.

I will update with pictures once the cabinet is finished which should be in a few days.

Ok the computer fan will fail in cooling the veg cabinet. i used a but load of them in a small cabinet and it wasnt enough for my three 42 watt bulbs. Now hopefully you will not have any issues but thats what happened to me. I ended up getting a duct fan as my exhaust.

always go with a cool tube if you can. avoiding the problem in the first place is desired. to be honest, i would use both the inline fan which has a carbon scrubber on it, and a cool tube for the lights. a 200w cfl will throw off a ton of heat. Dont believe that crap of cfl's not producing heat, they do. Since its sealed you wont need carbon on the cool tube.

Good luck on the build, Im subscribed!

Thx man glad at least one person is on board, yeah I just got my Stanley and and decided to go buy a carbon filter instead. I rather be safe then sorry. Had to work more then I thought this week so Homedepot and Hydro store were a no go for this week. I was able to figure out how to combine my veg, flower, dry chambers in one so I could use the stanley to dry both. I am buying my light next week, do you think its practical to use a 600w on a cool tube, separate intake out take and a regular inline in my cab without to many problems? It will be like $20 more, I am just worried about heat in my confined space.

Edit: Actually it took like 5 min for me to think about it, I rather be safe then sorry, only my first grow. 400W it more then enough and ill spend the extra bones on better nutes.
