Cakes Won't Fruit

hey guys im having some problems with three cakes i put into my fc on monday. they will not fruit every day a fan and mist them but i got nothing so far. not even aborts.i was wondering if any1 could figure out what it is. and i know you need a warm temp. when there in the consolodation stage but is it as important during fruit. and im using a shotgun terriam for my FC. Thank you in advance to any one who can offer me some advice.

I've already had them go over a week after birthing before seeing pins. Did you wait a full week after they were completely colonized to birth the cakes? Also, did you dunk and roll?

waited full week.did dunk but no roll.

Make sure to keep your humidity as close to 100% as you can get.

Make sure you use lots of FAE to rid of CO2

Is temp Important during Fruit?

A drop in temp helps set the pins but it is NOT necessary, when you spray, you can spray with ice water, but this is NOT necessary. I have seen them fruit quite nicely in as high as 80 degrees. I suggest patience - so long as you are not contaminated, the mushroom will begin to fruit. Unless of course you don't have completly sexed mycelium, then you will never get fruit. But it seems as though you are using a standard PF method, that involves injecting a number of spores into your substrate, the odds after a few dozen spores of your not getting two compatibe sexes together are pretty long.

i assume youre using perlite.. did you soak your perlite through a strainer before putting it in your fc? cause perlite holds quite a bit of water in its tiny little crevices.

CO2 is a bad thing? What is FAE?

fresh air exchange.

keep up the fresh air!!!! sometimes it can take up to 3 weeks for pins be patiant

i had some coasta ricans that took like 4 weeks to pin.....

Would placing a 6" fan blowing into the terrarium be good for FAE?

im still new to this but that might dry things out too much..i plan on just manually fanning the fc every now and then..like with a piece of cardboard or something similar..and i also think fae more applies to while the cakes are still colonizing in the jars ...

Yeah a fan constantly blowing wont be good. Just take your tub lid and give it a few good blows every 3-5 hours or so

^^^ good advice.... or you could make a shotgun fruiting chamber.... they can be a bitch to keep r/h up at times... dont go overboard on holes.....
