(Cali Connection) Louis Xiii OG vs Buddha Tahoe OG?

Hi there, long story short, I’ve lost access to my Louis Xiii OG cartridges thanks to all this vape cart scare stuff going on... yeah

Problem is, I need my meds! I suffer from debilitating insomnia and sleep apnea/sleep paralysis. Other strains do the trick for me, but they tend to keep me up high longer than i care for/need.

Louis Xiii is the one strain that makes me want to shut my eyes and slip blissfully away into sleep.

So are these two strains (fem seeds) the same? They both are listed as Louis Xiii X Tahoe Og. I know i won’t be getting the clone only Louis, duh! I’m just trying to get close, and want to make sure I’m getting the right thing.

i recently ran both in feminized form. ZERO ABSOLUTELY ZERO OG in either one. I think either the female they reversed dominated both the crosses resulting in a sweet skunk 1 generic dutch finished product or they had somebody else make the seeds and ripped them off. This was out of 6 Tahoes and 3 Louies. They all looked the same basicly and had no hermis. I kept non of them even though some were decent potency but i wanted kerosene fuelly touch of lemon OG and they were anything but.

So i would avoid the feminized versions of both and grab regulars version with some caution.

With all that said i have a found keeper recently from him in Wedding cake x GG4. Like a sweeter version of glue with a touch of vanilla. Also running pack of Purple punch x GG4 from him now in genetic test area, short stout plants but with the glue leaf twist so far in veg.

It's a cross of the two. I got some flower a few times in SF that was labeled "King Louis XIII" and really liked it as well. I searched and found Darkhorse's King's Banner which is King Louis XIII x Bruce Banner. Grew it out and it's exactly like the King Louis flower I got in SF. Really nice stuff.

I grew 10 Buddha Tahoe back in 2013, excellent shit at the time. Cali con basically shit the bed around then, so I'm not sure what's worth it. I'd go with Rare dankness Scott's OG, Karma's Biker Kush for consistent dank.

@MtRainDog One of the regular strsins i grow is cc king louis xiii, my friends and i have ran it a bunch of times and our mother came from a single feminized seed. It has a really strong diesely og smell, decent yield of dense pine cone type buds and for me is about 60 /40 body / head buzz. To answer your question, buddha tahoe og is, tahoe og x tahoe og, their king louis is (la confidential x og kush )x tahoe og so they have some shared genetics but not exactly the same

Thanks, this did help a lot actually. I ordered a pack of the King’s Banner.

And as a FYI to anyone else interested in this strain, I found that Archive seeds has two different Louis XIII crosses. Louis Face that someone mentioned here previously, and King’s Stash (Dosido X Louis XIII) which I really want to try but man those are pricey beans!

I just mainlined the 4 King Louis XIII x Tahoe OG seeds I got from CaliConn. I'm gonna' flower them in 2-3 weeks. I'm crossing my fingers! I got mothers of Skywalker OG and Lemon OG from DNA genetics. Both super fire even compared to the best the dispensaries have. So I'm really hoping for this King Louis XIII to be fire. I'll find out towards end of January..

Haha this thread got resurrected. I ended up getting sin city’s louis xiii x bruce banner. haven’t grown it yet. the plan is to get a few og fem varieties going and then chuck some louis xiii x bbanner at them.

i’ve got a csi wifi 43 x tk in veg. going to take some cuts. she’s lanky, and throwing out 3 fingered leaves. looks promising anyway.

other og-ish fem seeds i’ve yet to grow out:

tk s1
t1000 x tk
loompas headband x tk

recently gave away some cali conn larry x tahoe fems to a growmie.

might pick up some gps ghost og x stardawg too for some future cross making. it’s cheap enough.

The king louis xiii X tahoe og is looking awesome. 5 more weeks to go. I'm at 4 weeks and 1 day now. Hoping for that OG flavor and smell and potency. It sure looks like a huge yielder! I was able to pull 3.5 ounces on the skywalker og in 2gallon airpots and it looks smaller compared to the king louis xiii X tahoe og. Please let it be fire!

This is buddha tahoe around week 6 circa 2013-2014. Don't remember if it was from buddha or cali connection because I bought both. They had a falling out right after the canna cup about something, I can't really remember. Still the closest iteration of o.g I've found in seed form. Big fat tops, oil making machine and super loud. I can't say that it's still the same as he's a super shady dude who always has controversy around him but my experience was great. Sorry for the pic quality as well because it was 7 years ago

Yeah his tahoe is/was nice those were some golden beans to have. I picked up the King's Banner, still haven't ran it yet lol. I've also been eyeballing GGG's louis x joes og, which I believe is what Dark Horse used to make their louis bx that's in their King's Banner. I could be way off on that, but that's my best estimation of what they used.

This is a king louis xiii X tahoe og from calicon. She's on her 6th week of flower..

No i didnt take pictures. I ran them in a small genetic testing area. What kind of smells are you getting from yours? First sign something was off for me was the smell was a generic sweet smell, nothing like OG.

Yea does have a sweet smell. The Skywalker OG has more kushy scent. But I still have 3-4 weeks to go so I will keep you posted.
