I get you im researching those atm. what do you recommend without breaking the bank. I see bluelab and hanna the most. not trying to break the bank but im considering the quality before the price. and do those meters measure just ph or do you need a separate pen for TDS and ph?
I never measured ph when I was in soil.
Apera, bluelab, hanna, millwaukee, oakton, they are all good meters.
I'm very happy with my old Milwaukee MW102 and new Apera PH60.
Plan on replacing the probe if you buy a used meter.

I wouldn't buy anything other than blue lab for my ec for my ph I'd be happy with any quality meter but I use a Apera ph60 because there's replacement tips available for £30.

Iirc I paid £70 for it in the UK they're no doubt cheaper in the US.

earlier than you start, please make sure you have got a field of water to rinse the probe among the two buffer solutions all through the calibration. when you have Deionized water, Distilled water or RO water (reverse Osmosis) any of these are preferred to tap water, but you may use faucet water if important.the use of an RO Water cleanser can be the pleasant way to reduce ingesting water TDS. RO reduces TDS with the aid of forcing water via a best membrane with microscopic pores, getting rid of even the smallest debris. All that can pass through are atoms smaller than 0.0001 microns. for that reason, purifying water to the purest form.
