Ok I need to know what hot and whats not! Inside this ballast the wires are the same color. Connecting the recepticle (lamp holder) one wire goes to what im going to call a capacitor the other directly to the coil or ballast. Please help me identify my hot wire!

Thanks in advance!

Look on the insulation of the wires. You should fine print telling: What voltage the specific wire is used for. If it is a common or lead. Ect....

Im actually looking at the socket wiring were there are no numbers.. Is this capacitor looking thing the igniter or is it a cap? Would the hot wire go to that from the coil or ballast? Please tell me how I can explain this better =)

Thanks!

the brekaer would have kicked if something was wrong.....

in the future, the center pin on the socket goes to the cap, and the threaded collar on the socket goes to the ballast common.
