Calyx or Herm?!

Hey All,

I am going into 7th week of flowering and in my area (SoCal) we are going through a heatwave which I think is causing my plants to self pollinate from stress/herm. Average temp in tent has been 80-85f and last couple days it has been in 90F

Anyone have any experience with this? From inspecting the plants I cannot find any open/ruptured pollen sacs and it seems to be centralized to the smallest/weakest plants as well as some of the lower bud sights on largest plant. When I press on what looks like seed, it's filled with liquid.

Any suggestions if I should just pull that particular plant or just ride it out as it has affected small nugs on largest plant.

Those are definitely seeds that are developing. Now to find the source of the pollen.
Shit, this is the first time I have had this happen. Am I better off just cutting down what I have and drying to avoid further development of the seeds on larger colas or should I keep going?

Honestly I rather have fully ripe harvest with seeds than premature harvest with less seeds. Personally I would try find the source of the pollen and minimize any further pollination and just harvest when they're done. The damage is already done.

Found the culprit, ruptured pollen sacks right below bud sights that were out of sight. Thanks for the advice, will ride it out. I removed any more that I could find and cleaned out the tent and put plants back in. Out of curiosity the seeds that this plant produces, are the considered feminized already?

I think it also pollinated a different strain so just trying to find the silver lining.

As stated they are fems also if the hermaphroditic trait is genetic rather than stress related then there's more of a chance the offspring will exhibit the same. But if it is stress related then you have some seeds to experiment with.

It’s funny or odd , but I had a girl self pollinate In my last grow, didn’t effect the other ladies and it was only a few seeds per big nug, it was the stickiest most stinking and potent out of the other 8. Fully mature seeds too. I’d ride it out.

Thanks to everyone for the help! I kept the grow going and seems like most large colas were not affected just the buds lower in the canopy, which I plan on making some bubble hash. I will be experimenting with the accidental cross of Wonder Pie × Ayahuasca Purple. Pics below but about one week out from harvest, just waiting on the last bit of trichomes to get milky.
